Timing chain tensioner? I know it causes problems with 900rr's.

Nope, not it. I have replaced those too. That engine has had a complete overhal, Total rebuild and the damn noise is still there. Lower right side of the crankcase. The cranckshaft isn't warped had it checked when it was resurfaced.

can you explain how that would make a knocking noise in the lower front right of the engine. Not being a smartass just wanted to know

If it is bent out of alignment it might be rubbing on the block or cover? I really have no clue, just throwing out possibilities.

Thanks for the insight, i appreciate it. That is what i am going to look at tonight. I will let you know if that is what it is. I might have to put a reward out for the person who guesses the correct problem, Maybe that will be a little insentive for people to help out.

so there might be a little riding for me after all. Found out that the Cranckshaft bore was 7 thousands bigger than it should have been. sent the enging out to be re welded and bored so after a long wait i will still be able to ride before this weather is gone. Sweeeeeet. Holigan, don't wait up for me, Just be ready. Hit me up. later
