I have been seeing this more and more lately.
A wristband on the brake fliud res. on the handle bars.
What is the purpose?

Is there some functional purpose or is cosmedic?

when i raced i used to pull a couple wraps of gauze around the res. incase i crashed, i always thought the wristband was kinda faggy lookin' but now i guess it's really not if everyone's doing it.... hahahaha... but yes it's functional, some people also make the argument that it keeps the break fluid from getting baked by the sun but i don't buy that reason...

it's trendy as fvck, all these ppl say it's to keep the sun from thinning out their brake fluid, i'm like u keep your shit in a garage and only ride at night!! and the one on mine is black :spin:

Ok, but will it hold heat in the brake fluid?

Or is the heat loss minimal thru the res?

anyone have a pic of this? i don't see how it could "keep the sun away"? It seems more of like a stylish thing to do.

Been around a long time, its a roadracing trick incase you crack your ressy in a crash to help keep from dumpin shit all over the track
