I'm going with fake. I work at a hotel, and theres no way in hell my place of employment would ever do anything like that.

we give stuff back!! If you leave something of value in your room, a housekeeper gives it to the frontdesk, and we put a copy of your reg card with the item and keep it in our lost and found for 6 months. If you don't claim it, then we toss it or if its nice, sometimes we donate it or the staff gets the option of keeping it. Thats how we do it at my hotel.

Anyways, maybe in amsterdam it might happen, but I still highly doubt it.
Besides, the letter is signed by the "Administration" and that looks sketchy to me also.... I've never seen anything other hotel letters signed like that, international or in the US. Theres no one's name written either.

I went there 4 years ago when i was in high school and everyone was cool as hell, every place we went we were greeted and asked if we wanted a Drink Menu, Smoke Menu, or Food Menu, i wouldnt doubt them trying to send it back, and it would be cool if i actually did have a VIP channel, who know though....

I wouldnt believe it in the states, but that shit happened to me kinda.
Keep in mind that marijuana is illegal in jamaica. Its just all over the place and so outta control that the police and government cant do much about it.

I went to jamiaca in march for a week with a friend of mine and we bought some kick ass herb, we kept it in the nightstand between the beds and on our last day their we were in such a rush to get out of their that we forgot it and some other things. So when we went back, to get our stuff, they had already cleaned the room. So we went to the front desk and they had ALL our shit there, even the bag of weed! They handed it over with out even raising an eyebrow at us. Did i mention we stayed at the Hilton??

I am not at all suprised at this higher end european hotels will do anything for you I had a suit I left in berlin overnighted to a hotel I was at in london for a meeting. The hotel even paid for the overnight shipping. I had another in Russia that called me after I returned home to tell me I had left half a pack of smokes in my room, they offered to mail them to me at no charge. Gotta hand it to amsterdam though mailing weed around to return it to it's rightful owner. Didn't anyone tell them to use fedex it is the bomb for out of state transactions.

Ok 2 things. Yes it could be real. Its Amsterdam. Who knows what they might do over there. Its legal there so no one really would bat an eye. Its no big deal as its everywherre already.

Next thing is, in EVERY hotel that is nice they normally place several sheets of blank paper and envelopes with their companies (the hotel) logo on the letter head.

He could have just typed it up himself and printed it on the free paper...
