I'm getting abad feeling about this mtv shit. Yesterday I was out practicing my shit like always, and then THEY came. We had to stop riding every 20 minutes cuz the lot got too full of spectators. I cant tell you how many annoying fukkin people come up to me to talk about mtv. First they talk about the mtv show, and then they start babbling about their meaningless lives and what bike they want to get. These arent motorcycle people, not even bike-posers, I could let that slide. These are people who watch reality shows. People who have to go early so they dont miss survivor. They watch mtv all day, and their clothes cost more than my motor. Now they're lookin for a bike with chrome rims and a D&D so they can be stunters.
I hate these people, and I liked it better when they hated me. (a week ago)

i can understand what u mean about the "Mtv" ppl thinkin they know shit. But i have to admit I do watch Mtv... its kinda tight that u are gettin recognized in a postitive way (or at least I think)!

without fans this sport won't grow... it's fans that buy videos and t-shirts... it don't matter what the fans are like, it's more important that they like what they see... dirty or not, i think this sport will get some serious TV exposure in the next year... i think it will be good and bad, 'cause with exposure come legitimate sponsors with legitimate money... x-games in the near future? i doubt it... but no one ever thought moto-x was a sport till the dirtbike videos started blowin' up then local competitions then small sponsors then shows at monster truck rallies and now x-games... talk about a sport that used to be dirty and unheard of? i know mike metzger and he'll tell you himself that he never thought moto-x would be this successful or that he would be this successful, he still thinks he's just a dude that likes to ride dirtbikes... we'll see what happens with the mtv show... i say take the exposure, good or bad you'll sell you all more shirts and videos than you do now...

i still ride my BMX bike, and was surprised about seeing flatland in teh way of life dvd. recently i found out that flatland this year was deleted from teh x -games. flatland is the root of BMX, and BMX you gotta admit is the root of moto-x and now stunt riding. pissed me off x games dissed flatland. fuck ESPN, its good for the money i guess, but whatever man, i coudl give a fuck less. it will seperate teh true riders from the fake ones be it bmx, moto-x and stunt riding. i just ride for me, tahts it

hel yes, when was the last time you saw anything positve on mainstream media or in a paper about stunting or rockets in general. usually they only publish the bad shit, like when someone dies on one....bout god damn time!!!!!

They are even cracking down on POCKET BIKES!!!!!!!!!! WTF.. POCKET BIKES. I hate the media. Can we just kill them?? wtf...
On the other posts about the kids though.. FUK YAH, right on. Kids dude are the shit. I remember being a kid and telling every mother fuker I ever saw on a bike to "do something". They never did. NOW, when I ride the streets to my spots, if I see some kids on the way I bust out! I remember once, this kid got his moms camera phone and popped some off of me wheeling next to the car! DUDE, it was like paparazzi!
Also, my boy talked to me this morning, I'm out to ride one last time before I sell my ride, and he said yesterday and the day before there was more than the usual crowd of people watching him stunt @ our spot. He said there was about 10 cars and 15 bikes there. We average bout 3-5 cars and usually its like a bike or two. We'll see how it goes, but whatever, I rock harder when I got peeps watching.. unfortunately that will also bring the heat to the spot. In which case, that would not be good.
Basically though, this sport WILL survive, and nobody (NOBODY) is gonna make me stop!

Think of it this way... it was going to happen sooner or later anyway. The local news keeps doing shitty storys, making the sport and all of us in it out to be fuckin thugs and trouble makers (tho some are lol). At least will set some people straight about what some of us are really here for.

This mtv thing could be the best thing that ever happened to stuntriding. No one else is putting us on tv at a national level. Quite a few people are making a living riding a motorcycle and hopefully alot more will be able to real soon.

yeah i believe this shit will get outta hand for a little while.. then it will calm back down. I'm not near good but we were out at a little spot just doin some burn outs... and stand ups. Some little kids were at the local baseball fields/civic center and came up they go DO A WHEELIE haha i sorta laugh and took off and did one... people love to see it. I like attention but i don't want people comin' up to a spot i have ... i like to practice with other people that practice.
