Hey, I uploaded some footage from the digital camera to my friends MAC, because we still dont have the right USB cable and what not, and then I downloaded it to a CD so that I could take it home and edit it on my Dell...But the clips wont open or run in any other media playing program i.e. Windows Media Player, RealOne, etc...the file name reads MyClip19.dv...is that because it will only play in QuickTime...I Need Some Advice on Converting or Do I Need To Just Upload to Another Computer?....Any Help Will Appreciated...

The .dv stand for digital video and that is the format that most digital camcorders record in. If you have WMP 10 try looking for a codec online that will allow it to play. Otherwise you can use a different software when taking the video off the camera and put it in a .avi or .mpg format. When you get this give me a call (Kory has my number). I can get a DVD recorder for you to use too so you can put the vids right on a dvd and bring it where you want.
