So i went down the other day and the front left mount, the flat 1/8' aluminum plate that hangs down from the subframe, broke about an inch above the bolt straight across the plate. If i just grind down the edges and make a nice bevel between the two pieces and fill it in with weld is that gonna be strong enough. Someone said I needed to weld the back of it to get it strong but that would be taking the motor out and everything and thats just a hell of alot of work. Anyone else ever broke this mount, any suggestions???

its shoudl be strong enough depending on your ability to weld aluminum. you shoudl try and weld the back but if you cant just the front shoudl be okay just make sure ur surfaces are clean of any paint,grease....etc

I was gonna have it welded by someone who knows how to weld well. But i just wasn't sure if a simple bead on one side would be strong enough.

def man think about it there are 2 other points holding it also i mena it aint much but whne u take one mount out your motor dont move nuttin but maybe a 1/4 inch that shit will be fine wit the weld as long as it is a clean surface and good penetration

every frame I have got welded hasn't worked out. Always cracks and is destroyed. But your best bet would be to grind/weld the shit out of it. Try it without dropping the motor, but if you see it crack again. It's time.
