wat rpm to shift?

i have a gix 750 and i cant seem to work out wat rpm to shift into second at..
wat do u guys shift at if ur just below bp? so pretty much just under power..

I never shift during wheelies or anything...but just riding, like on the freeway or street, I never go past 8000rpms...
