I want to start doing slow stuff with my 99 R1, what should I do first... :howudo:
-Tire pressure
-Rear brake
-Idle
I will appreciate if somebody can tell me how to start, what is the first step... :nudge:

I will appreciate if somebody tell how to start, the first step... :nudge:
-Tire pressure=about 10-15 psi
-Rear brake=yes. Cover it, be smooth on it, no jabs, you skim it
-Idle=easier to learn by cranking it up around 3000, clutch it up, idle catches, bring it back down or control it with rear brake. Throttle control is the best way to learn, but turning up the idle is easier.
I'd start in a staggered stance if I were you. It just seems comfortable and controllable when learning slow stuff.
Good Luck! Let us know how it goes!

Thanks bro!!!, that's well explained! :hyper:
When you say "staggered stance", you mean stand up or sit down?

i would say get comfortable clutching to the balance point from a dead stop, if you have to grailla it a few times than do it, wonce you know the bar is there and get past the balance point just lightly tap the breack to keep it from falling back on the bar , and just keep that up and you will be rocking slow stuff in know time, took me a day to learn, so just go practice and you ll get it , oh yeah idle 2000 tire presure 8-12 , good luck

THANKS GUYZ!!!
But when you pass the Bal.Point and tap the brake a little, do I have to shop the trottle a little or stay with the same trottle?
And for clutching it up, is it better to cluth it real fast when your slow or make a normal wheelie(fast, but not that fast...like 25-30mph) and then you do the thing?

With your idle up it should bring you back up. Just feather the rear brake or you'll set down or have to wack the throtle
