If stock is 16/41...Go -2/+14....14/55 is a good combo...but thats my opinion...

Yep, that's what i read as well.
I hit up chris at stuntragz and he quoted me, 14/60 for my gix for $235 to Australia.

yeah its going on the gixxer, the reason i want to go that big is circles, and i know that i probably dont need to go that big, it has a 56 on it now and i think stock in front, but not sure i bought the bike with the sprocket on it. i want to be able to do slow stuff easier, im only 130 pounds and i have a hard time sometimes, but then again i know if i had more time to ride i could probably do it with the 56, but not sure, thanks for the replies everyone.

the rear standard is a 45 so if you've got a 56 it's +11
-2 +15 (14, 60)

Yeah, I am new to the site as well. Have been riding since 13 now I'm 30. I am trying to get in the stunt scene with a 2003 R1. I also have a 04 gixxer 1000 thats more eye candy than wheelie king. Anyway, I recently ordered a 15/62 set up and it came with a 150 link chain. If you go to sprocket specialist and go to chain conversion link, it will tell you what linkage you need for different applications.

well thats what im trying to find out, what is a good gear set up that is not too shitty for the street, i really want to get into slow stuff, i have a 56 on the back now and a stock front i was going to gear the front down also, the 74 tooth was for parking lot riding. what do you guys think, is a good gear setup.

to tell u the truth i would not go that big that is really big, i mean i have no room to talk cause i am running a 60 tooth on an r1 but u need between a 60 and 68 no larger or no smaller just remeber if u change the front sprocket for every one tooth down its like adding three in the rear and if u still want to put that 72 on just tell me amount off teeth on the front and i can tell how many links you need, if u have any questions e-mail me at xx_ride_4_life_xx@yahoo.com
