Ok I live in socal .Me and my son were practicing wheelies in a parking lot.Weve been riddin there for a couple months a couple weeks ago a cop rolled on us and said hed rather see us in the parking lot than on the street.My son was ridding his fiddy and I was riddin my f4i.This last week end I let my son ride the f4i to get the feel of it .Hes 14 but rode before and I didnt think anything of it .The next thing I know a cop rolls on us and throws the damn book at us .The cop was a complete ass about it .He gave me a ticket for letting a minor drive on a highway? And on the same ticket he put my sons name and called it operating a m/c under 16 yrs old.My question is Im the one that let ride so how can they ticket my son? I just dont want it to effect his license.Any advise with this situation??

parking lots are private property so the ticket for the highway is BS. wont stand. operating a motorcycle under 16 is also BS becasue your the parent and its on private property.
to be safe get a lawyer and fight. or hope you have a judge who has any common sense.
i think the cop is just trying to be a dick and is trying to scare you. because he has no ball of his own.
now if the parking lot owners called the cops they have to ask you to leave and if you come back or refuse then you get CIVIL penalties which arent traffic tickets
thats my understanding of the law

Get the legal definition of "highway" and rip the dude apart in court. The judge will be pissed for the cop wasting his time.

if you shot the cop and he was maybe dead or in the hospital then he wouldnt show up at court and the fines would be dropped right. i think so id go that way if i were you personally.
make sure the kid does it though hes still a minor........just in case you get caught.
or for the lesser extreme on the court date have you kid run in front of his car
its what id do if i had a kid
