I have seen that the stuntrags setup comes with the elbow pads as well for the $100, and not sure about the icon however is the same price. Which is better and why. I need something that is not going to feel so restricting. My jacket, and boots are a little too much and don't allow the flexibility that I feel I could perform better. I have some of the Icon anthem jeans but wonder if thats really enough for my legs and butt. Just wondering you op's Thanx..Jamie

This is another one of those personal preference type deals....

I have the Icon Body Armor, it does me fine...But I have heard complaints of the velcro being shitty after a while....

Hit Up Chris at StuntRagz tho, Those elbow pads will come in handy...

BOOM spoken from a true G that knows his shit in the industry!

Dont buy the ICON body armor. I had some of it and the velcro on it wears out easily.

Get the StuntRAgz stuff and it wont let you down.

HAHA, I can see it now. I'm watching TV and a commercial comes on... CBO killin shit...Starts scrapin and just throws himself of the bike. Gets up dusts himself off. Then u hear, Stuntragz body armor. "made for the stunters by the stunters". Gets on his bike and Scrapes away.

That would boost Sales 50%. I would buy it.

Actually I'm gonna get it anyways... I posted a thread about this in Stunt Talk. Most people suggested Stuntragz, So i'll give it a try.

I have the same problem, can´t decide. Need something to wear under a leather jacket, so i don´t need the elbow armor the Stuntragz one comes with, but it´s a plus for them!!!
For me the Icon looks pretty good, the back protector is wider which means more protection and it is better adjustable with those straps on the side and shoulders. This is very important I think cause it´s a "one size fits all", you can adjust the Stuntragz armor too, but I don´t know if these plastic clips will push on ribs when crashing.
Props to Chris and his business, but I think I will go with the Icon, cause I will definetly order their leg armor, motorhead boots and some pants.

Nice to see both sides of the coin here. Rici, I was wondering the same thing to about the clips being a problem when ya fall. I found the Icon for $79 new. I agree to buy from stunters cause apparently they know what is going to go for the long haul, but things vary. Thanx for the input....J

You get the best prices for Icon at metricbikes.com, it´s 10-25% less at them, depends on the product!

which is better? to be honest i don't know. We looked at the Icon Armor and made some adjustments. Main focus was the side straps. The plastic clips we use have not been an issue as of yet. Like everything else we will continue to approve our design based off feedback. This is our first armor series and feedback has been pretty good. i know we will be making a design for the big boys on the next run.

what separates us is the fact we have colored armor and they come with elbow pads. i also have been sending everyone free knee pads just for the hell of it. i will do this until i run out of them.
For those of you trying to save some money we will be offering a sale on the armor soon. The sale will be sent out to those registered on the Stuntragz email list only.
If you have not registered yet got to www.stuntragz.com to register.

Also if you guys haven't check out the new gloves. They are definitely this shit for the price.
thanks all
Chris

Thanx for the info Chris. I agree for the price and the amount of merchandise your getting, you can't beat it. Colors are really not an issue to me, just looking for durability and comfort (if there is such a thing). Anyway I believe I'm sold, look forward to doing business with you and will spread the word here in the mighty Miss..
Thanx..J
