Everyone told me that when I got married that my riding days were over, and I was convinced that my wife wanted a bike as much as I wanted her to have one. I sold two of the three 900rr's to eliminate bills so we can get our life started, and here I am, 4 months later rideless. It's to the point now to where I am going crazy with the itch to ride. All I want is a 929. I gives a shit what it looks like, I just want to get back to the parkinglot. It dosent help that I'll be in Iraq in less than two months, but I want a ride before I go so I don't have to search when I get back from hell. She keep s telling me to go out and get one, but she has that tone like "if you get a bike I am going to kick your ass" I told her from the beginning that I had one love, and that if she got in the way of my asperations, she was gone. There is no way that I can get rid of her now, but I got to get back on a bike. I need some advice. :banghead:

FUNNY!

Take her w/you to go look at the bike and if you have the money...Get It.
Once she sees it and sees how much it makes you happy...You most likely won't get the irritated sound in her voice when she tells you to get it!

I agree. If i ever get married i would never hold someone back from what there love to do and i would expect the same, but i like bikes so i more than like would like to marry a guy that likes bikes as well. Then we have the same interest and wont bitch at eachother when you can and cant ride.

that's funny!!! But on the real, i would never stop my man from anything that has to do with his bike, i know how much he loves it and how much it makes him happy!!! Like Imprezatastic said, just take her with you and she'll see how much it makes you happy!

I pulled the "I am going to Iraq" card, and now she is looking for a bike so I can have one before I leave in december. The hazardous fire pay alone will make the payments on the 954 I've been looking for. Now all I have to do is find one within 250 miles of here that I can finance.

to be honest....i just buy shit.
i work, i want, i buy. As long as the bills are paid and food is on the table i don't want to hear any lip when i buy things. just my view anyways.
not saying that my way is right but it makes sense to me! :nudge:

+1- I'm not married yet, but I don't tell her what to buy, and she doesn't tell me. I guess keeping it that way when you have the same last name is the tricky part.

im practically married. i just go out and buy shit, and tell her after. she usually doesnt care cuz im pretty responsible when it comes to providing our kids with what they need and then some. . as long as i do that and keep up on my share of bills shes alright. she could be mad for a few days, but it fades away.

on the up and up, I am now being pushed into a bike. She spent all day looking for bikes on the net that are within 250 miles of my house. So any of you fellas got a 954 or a 929 to get rid of?
