On my first OS CV-RX (a .18 size motor), The front bearing went out in less than a gallon, A bearing costs about $5, but I was lazy and didnt want to fix it. I sent it in and a few weeks later OS sent me a BRAND NEW cv-rx, free of charge. I guess they were too lazy to fix it too :hyper:.
In the mean time, I scored an Unlimited Engineering Victory Bulkless System kit.

Now all i'm waiting on is my Racer X kit ( http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/race_susp.shtml ) and I will be done with the major upgrades for a while.
With this setup, I should be able to launch my truck 20+ft in the air, land all wrong, and not break a damn thing.

just remember, aluminum is HEAVY and it bends and stays bent unlike plastic! Nice lookin Maxx though. Im into sellin Revo's on eBay now.. makes me soem good cash. Just picked up a Jato to go with my TM powered Revo and Brushless 18T. Built a new ramp as well, managed to jump the Revo about 29 feet (paced out) with a good clean landing. But race season is starting, so Im done bashing for awhile (maybe)

Not Unlimited Engineering and DACE aluminum parts.
UE aluminum parts are CNC machined from 7075 aluminum (reason 1 why their expensive), and are made with tons of R&D behind them (reason 2 why their expensive), and their made in America (reason 3.)
Unlimited Engineering supermaxxs are very light weight (about 6 to 8lbs for a full aluminum UE/DACE truck, compared to 10.5lbs stock) and are durable. (people have slammed their supermaxxs into walls, light poles, trees, rocks, and other solid objects at over 40mph, and their truck got away without any damage)

sure... but sooner or later, it will bend, and when it does, youll be out that much more cash to replace it... No matter to me, Im more of a racer than a basher, so you wont find much aluminum on any of my RC's... Not that I cant afford it or dont THINK it looks OK, I just dont see the practicality of it.. Especially since I race a Revo and its hardly ever broken on me... Parts that break often get replaced with RPM plastic, that stuff almost never breaks, but it is a bit more flexable than stock plastic meaning that (when used for arms) the alignment isnt alwas perfect and rigid like Id like it for racing.

Estimating the time it'll take to break 1 $35 UE arm (about a year, but most people go 2+ years without breaking) I will break $338 worth of stock arms.... Thats IF I break a UE arm in 1 year.

LOL suuuuure......... And for the price you are paying for that stuff, I can build another complete race truck... But whatever to each his own... Lets see that thing in action.... I wanna see some 20 ft jumps.... And run it into a pole at 40mph and NOT bend or break something

It only cost me $470 to turn my stock maxx into a full supermaxx (I didnt get the arms yet) :)
I'll try to get some videos
Come on man, you seem to be into RC quite a bit, you should know about supermaxxs.

470!?! on top of what you paid for the truck.. No offence, but if you want to beat the fuck out of something, look at a Savage, they are tanks out of the box! Yes, I am into RC quite a bit.. but Im more of a racer than basher, so I dont have a need or use for aluminum. I am familiar with the supermaxx, but never seen one in person. All my money is spent on making my Revo lighter and faster. Yes, it will break before yours will, but I wont shed a tear when I break a $5 part compared to a twisted $60+ part.. The thought of that just hurts.
and why is your pressure line not going to your pipe? Trying to kill that new CV-R?

everything wasent hooked up in the pics, I did hook up the pressure line before I fired up the engine though.
I wanted a truck that is an excellent racer (supermaxxs STILL beat revos on the track on a common basis) a durable basher (there are people who have gone 2+ years/20+gallons on their supermaxxs without breaking any main components) and looks good (just my opinion, revos and savages are good trucks, but dont look all that great.)
Tom Wolf has gone over 45 gallons on his razorback truggy (uses the same VBS and Racer X that is on other supermaxxs) of both hard racing and bashing, without breaking anything.

Before you get on about weight and all that, they put him up against 1/8th buggies at the track and his lap times are around the same as the buggies, if not better.
I heard some rumors about UE making a Racer X type suspension kit for the revo. If they do, I bet you'd end up buying it.
You act like $470 is alot for what I did to my truck. Most people spend $1200+ to make a truck like mine.

If I wanted to build a truck that would look good in pictures, I would have bought integy parts.
I got it together with the racer X and everything, and was testing it, and a bearing went out. no more bashing for a week or 2 untill I can find a 10x16x5 bearing.

Probably around 45 to 50mph, I can pull wheelies while rolling at like 10mph. Thats all on a good tune though.
