I know there are some ladies that frequent the site that are expecting like myself:) I'm only 10 weeks so I have a long road ahead of me but I had my first full OB exam yesterday and was able to hear the baby's hearbeat!! Words can't express how I felt when I heard it...it was awesome!! It's beating at 160 beats per minute. I'm sooooo excited and just thought that I would share. Now if I could just get over the sickness stage :ill:

:( that post is sad. my mom wanted me to have an abortion with both of my kids..the other day she said she wouldn't know what she would've done if i actually listened to her because she couldn't imagine not having them around. kids are so much fun, they're so much work and it gets very stressful, but at the end of the night when they hug you goodnight and give you a kiss and tell you they love you so much and that you're their best friend it all makes up for it.
hearing the baby's heartbeat is so exciting..just wait until you have a sonogram and can actually see the baby. it's amazing to see this little baby living inside of you, i got to see both of my kids face, hands/fingers, feet/toes. parenthood is the biggest award you can get.
on the sickness thing, i had it with my daugther for the first few months, and i was fine pretty much with my son...one of my best friends had it her whole pregnancy with her first, and not once with her second. everyone is different. i hope it goes away soon, because i remember just the smallest things would make me throw up. :tired:

i had my morning sickness til i was 5 months. it was bad. but my little boy had the hiccups all the time, and he didnt like me laying on my right side?? lol. he would always start kicking. i got this bulletin on myspace today, and omg it made me start to cry:
Day 1
Mommy, I am only 8 inches long, but I have all my organs. I love the sound of your voice. Every time I hear it, I wave my arms and legs. The sound of your heart beat is my favorite lullaby.
Day 2
Mommy, today I learned how to suck my thumb. If you could see me, you could definitely tell that I am a baby. I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though. It is so nice and warm in here.
Day 3
You know what Mommy, I'm a girl!! I hope that makes you happy. I always want you to be happy. I don't like it when you cry. You sound so sad. It makes me sad too, and I cry with you even though you can't hear me.
Day 4
Mommy, my hair is starting to grow. It is very short and fine, but I will have a lot of it. I spend a lot of my time exercising. I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes, and stretch my arms and legs. I am becoming quite good at it too.
Day 5
You went to the doctor today. Mommy, he lied to you. He said that I'm not a baby. I am a baby Mommy, your baby. I think and feel. Mommy, what's abortion?
Day 6
I can hear that doctor again. I don't like him. He seems cold and heartless. Something is intruding my home. The doctor called it a needle. Mommy what is it? It burns! Please make him stop! I can't get away from it! Mommy!! HELP me!! No . . .
Day 7
Mommy, I am okay. I am in Jesus's arms. he is holding me. He told me about abortion. Why didn't you want me Mommy?
One more heart that was stopped. Two more eyes that will never see. Two more hands that will never touch. Two more legs that will never run. One more mouth that will never speak.
sorry if that makes you cry, but when i found out i was prego people were pressuring me to get an abortion, i was never for it and im glad i didnt.
so didnt need that first things this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok now i cant get this out of my head..
i'm sorry your friends tried to talk you into having an abortion, that sucks but this thread is bc she heard her babys heartbeat for the first time and is excited and rightfully so, i heard my dughters heartbeat the other day again and everythime i hear it its like the first, as a mother you think you would have been able to understand that amazing feeling and offer come kind of congrats or comferting words to a new mother, but instead you post something like this to completely bring down the mood of the whole thread .. thats just completely fucking wrong.. you my dear are a fucking retard

That was terrible but definitely something I could have went without reading. Nothing like eating your breakfast with tears rolling down your cheeks after reading something like that. I know that there are people out there who turn to abortion but I am not one of those people. I started this thread because I am absolutely ecstatic about my pregnancy and I wanted to share my good news.
I was told that I won't be able to have an ultrasound for two months but hopefully when that time comes we will be able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl:) I didn't mean to leave out pops either...he's very happy!! The look on his face when we heard the baby's heartbeat was priceless!! I will be sure to keep everyone posted:)

UPDATE: I went back to the doctor yesterday. The baby's heart is now beating 155 beats per minute, a little slower than last time. I'm now 14 weeks and the doctor said that I should be able to feel some movement within the next month...I can't wait!! I go back on January 25th and they will schedule my ultrasound. I am sooooo thankful that I finally got over the sickness!! I just thought I would keep you posted. I hope all of the other mommy's to be are doing well:)

but now she puts her little toes in my ribs .. which doesnt feel so nice and she kicks so hard you can see my belly move.. its awsome

That is sooo awesome that you can actually see your belly move! I'm definitely looking forward to that. I haven't felt anything yet but when the time comes I'm sure it will probably freak me out. They are going to schedule my ultrasound when I go back on the 25th so hopefully sometime in February we will know the sex of the baby. Daddy and I are sooooo ready to know whether we are having a little boy or a little girl:)
Your getting pretty close to your due date aren't you? How exciting!! I wish you nothing but the best!! Keep us posted and I'll do the same:)

My wife gave birth to our first, a boy who is growing like a weed. I can't quite put into words the experience of watching her give birth. He is a healthy little guy and will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. congrats to those expecting and best wishes.
