You had the R1 before the 929 right? Ive kinda started to beat this question into the ground but my buddies got a 02' R1 and thinkin bout stuntin it...we are both still learnin BP but he wants to kno if it is worth his time to keep the R1 for expressway shit and tank/seat combos? or if he should sell it while its nice and get sumthing else.

I dont know if the guys get on this site anymore i might be wrong though
but from what i know/heard the older R1s and R6s suck ass i have a 03 and its a pile of shit it breaks all the time from stupid shit the fairing stay is garbage that for sure

How was ur R1 for just old school shit (fast shit, spreaders, HCs, seat/tank combos)?
it wasnt nick that had the r1 it was dizzo, its alright, faster stuff could be done on it but the subframe was garbage, had to get the frame reinforced a few times. if it were me i would trade it for a honda.

I figure pretty much every person has said they suck for stuntin...so im gonna relay the message to my friend...and drop the R1 for a 929/954 or Gix1k

i can suggest a better response on our forum on stuntlife for nicks advice. but if geared right the gixxer 1000's can be done for slow stuff, but then you have the opposite with ryan cramer using it for speed comin down on his stoppies. it depends what you want it for. personally a 600 can do it all. however DV8 is rockin gixxer 1000's. but Bill D uses a R1 for his stoppie bike...and i think stoppies only. either way, you'll probably better response on stunt life.

I agree with what Judd said...
Not sure were Brad got his info I don't think he has a big bike??
Yamaha makes great street bikes but they are GAR BAGE for stunting...

Ronnie is, Ryan sold his 1,000 and is down to the 600.
