rodney mullen's old school as fuck. shit he was pro when i was skating so that was fuckin 16-plus years ago.

I use to skate on the amateur level. Use to really dig that cat and his freestyle. Guess My fav was Bucky Lasek and Lance Mountian, Also Frankie Hill tore the streets up. I still have a few vids like Public Domain, and H-Street's "Hokus Pokus".

my last days as a skater were right before i turned 16. i ollied up to slide this handrail that was insanely long at the police station, there was some sort of hook in the rail like a shard stickin up. caught my deck, i did a total ladymaker. which wouldn't have been that biga deal since i don't have nuts to crack. but i hit the rail so hard it tore a fuckin 3 inch gash on the inside of my thigh. fuckin bled forever. i quit that was the end of it.

I skated for like 9 years, mostly mini ramped it though. I also did the streets in between. I can relate about the handrails though, I guess I am lucky to have a daughter now. I finally grew tired of it and started spending more time on the dirtbike, then engulfed myself in college. I still manage to skate from time to time. Not near what I use to do (doubt I could catch much air now)..but I can still ollie and grind. :hitler:

:D I'm sure if you got back out there it'd come back to ya. Yeah, kickflips over steps and and off the coping were the shitz!
my right knee is shot now. wouldn't hold up. plus i weigh like 40lbs more than i did then. got old fat slow.

Yeah, I'm thinking I can chaulk my left knee problems up to skating , but then again, I seem to hit the ground alot curosity of my R1. What are some of the boards you use to rock?

Ive been skating for a while now..
And i never get tired of watching rodney mullen tear it up.. he is old skool, but he has so many tricks that other people dont have, and dont even try to do.. He has a very uniquie style....
His foot work is just out of this world..... Hes def one of the best... well WAS one of the best..lol

i used to skate but i kept getting hurt like when i was ollieing off of a maybe 5 or 6 foot ledge and the board broke in half and the two pieces went opposite ways lets just say i did the splits and I'm not that flexible :hypnotize

I've slacked the past 2 years, but before that I skated everyday for 18 years. Rodney Mullen, while talented, looks like a total no style having faggot when he rides and he's an asshole. I've prolly hung out and skated with him no less than 10 times.

one my best freinds , is like obsessed with rodney mullen, i wish i could get some fottage of him on the forum, but yea mullen actualy created the ollie well moving, so hes preety much the god of skating :eyepop:

i think the first board i ever had was this tank from rob roskop. then i switched to powell, mike mcgill, hawk, frankie alva or was it freddie? i went thrue decks like nothing. i had this surfboard lance mountain shit hilarious. then last deck i think i had was nicky guerrerro's. i had a tommy too. i used to just mainly stick to powell and santa cruz.

Roskop was my first deck ..... blk n purple with a big fuckin eyeball on the back ... that was like ... 1989? 90? maybe .... independent trucks rollin on slimeballs I think .... I cant skate for shit now haha, I mess around here n there still... I gotta santa cruz powerlyte I hurt myself on currently...

We used to tag up the tops with paint markers n run clear grip tape over it ... or cut some gay ass designs in it .. I had a mcgill also, pink with a skull on the back.. and a snake weaving in an out of it.. think that was it...

Hell Yeah, I remember to big "eye" Roskop. I also had the matt hensley, Tommy Gurerro ( the one with Christ on the bottom), and many others. Alot of them where given to me as long as I wore this skate shops clothing (Memphis Cheap Skates). Hell also rolled bout every kind of wheel with those damn Swiss bearings.
