So i was out on the ice, and dropped the bike turning around. no big deal. do the whole "look at me im a dumbass" dance, and go to pick up the bike. its still running, so i pull in the clutch, and lift it up. Then second i get it vertical, it stalls and seems like its locked up. Any ideas? Oil is full (a little over full actually), but i noticed there was oil spilled on the left side... same thing happpened to my friends f4i when he wrecked months ago... i assume theres a breather vent on the left side, because there was no exterior damage.
Anyway, anyone ever experience this? Sounds just like a dead battery... solenoid clicks, but wont crank. Already boosted it, and all that shit, so it seems like its siezed on something.
I suppose ill have to open it up, if noone knows. im just a lazy bastard. gotta ride this weekend. :nudge:

tip over sensor (but should be fine after a little time)

yea hydro locked it the f4i tips over onto one side to far oil goes into ur airbox then when you pick it up all the oil in the airbox goes into your cylinders. do what gzs nate told you to do.

when u tipped it ova on its side, it was still running, so it pumped oil into the airbox, which is why u saw sum dripping out on the left side, and it went down into ur throttle bodies, and into ur engine.....STOP take out ur plugs and hit the starter acouple times to blow out all the oil...put new plugs in since its prolly fouled, and it shud start right back up, and smoke like bitch for a lil bit

hah mine hit hard a few times, but i fired right up, i knew it was oil in the airbox, is it bad to keep runing it untill its done smokeing?

nah not really. Under really EXTREME cases you will get cylinder wash-down, but i have a hard time believing a little is enough to cause this.
I had a feeling it may have been hydrolocked, but for some reason i never even thought of it oil being the culprit... i dropped it in about a foot of snow, so i figured maybe it sucked in all the snow, turned to water, ect ect.
Thanks guys, Ill be sure to crash a couple times for you all.

lol..when i started it up at my shop i had all the doors closed and filled the place full of smoke. Went outside to take a piss, and when i was looking back in, it was pouring out everywhere...looked like someone was tokin it up hardcore. No joke, no less than 5 minutes and Johnny Law came to see how i was doing.

nice, you gotta be careful with the hydrostatic lock thing, I bent a rod in an old piece of shit F2 just by cranking it with a cylinder full of fuel from a leaky carb. It knocked a lil after that

Your battery has enough power to turn it that hard???

im surprised u bent a rod, by cranking it. Ive heard of valves being bent before from hydro-locking, but this is usually the quick stall that occurs when the bike dies after (in my case filling the airbox with oil).... i pulled the plugs, oiled the ceiling thoroughly, and away we went..... Thats why when we always used to jump the dirtbikes into lakes or whatnot, be sure to hit the killswitch before u bail out.
