We can get a plate for a rebuilt bike with no special inspection. Just fill out a form and they give you the registration. My bike was registered while it was still in about 30 pieces.

in a shocking turn of events, ive decided to run my clipons pointing down

i sat on the bike and tried it both ways, switched them back and forth numerous times. for 2 wheel riding i think i like them better on their intended sides

Well, I fill out a form saying what I repaired and how. If parts were purchased, I need receipts. After that they send me a "rebuilt" title. I can get a plate when I fill out the form if I want. How a rebuilt title would transfer, I'm not sure.

Zuki750

Oh, I think they can request an inspection. I've never heard of that happening though.

It's not that wide, but even without pulling a trailer the sport mirrors are too small. I have had F150's hide in my blind spot. Only reason I could see them was the lower convex mirrors.

Take it off and put it on the bench or brace the clipon with a 2x4 or something.

i cant take it off because the throttle cables are attached. a little catch 22 there. when i get home today im going to make a jig using 2x4's
im going to use a bar clamp to keep the screwdriver pressed into the screw so it cant strip out. then im gonna grab the screwdriver handle with some big pliers and make that bitch turn. if the screw head strips, then i'll have to bite the bullet and drill it and buy a new housing i guess

Niner
12-13-2007, 11:31 AM
do i look like an ametuer? that was my first idea. id dint work because this screw sits 6" out on the clipon, away from the fork tube and away from any structural rigidity. in laymans terms the clipon just flexes too much for impacrt to work

Make a bigger diameter handle for the screwdriver. If that doesn't work use a screw driver and a pair of pliers.

so the rc51 forks arent a direct swap :banghead:

2 incompatibilities

1. Rotor diameter. I thought they used the same size rotors. NOPE, 929's are bigger.
Bolt pattern is the same, and offset is the same, so this can easily be overcome by making new caliper brackets.

1800 watt timer ... i think i smelled it burning a little one day lol ... just get a solid 1800+ watt timer and it will be fine. I got a cheap $10 one and its still working.

Buy a pair of sub boxes for kicker L7's so I can buy one off you.

find a good deal, make sure they are quality. PM me the link. I will buy them and give you one - I owe you for the engine ice anyways,. BTW shipping was $25 so 280 less 25 = 255 less paypal fee = about 250/2 = 125 coming your way.

Need to use 2 cords so I can put power to the heater without going outside before my shower.

or pug it in to a switched outlet

We got 6" so far. It's looking like we'll only get 10-12.

we got about 6-8" of snow followed by a bunch of rain that froze like Jason said.....

So 12.5's are narrow enough for my truck in the snow. Even with BFG AT's with 65,000 or so miles on them they still had no problem going down my completely unplowed street.
