strange noise???

i have an 04 gix 750 its been geared at -1 +2 for awhile so today i put on a +10 and a new chain and left the front sprocket and also installed a 905 cage. so im riding home from stuntwars and on the highway my bike is making a strange noise, seemingly comming from the front of the bike. best way i could describe it is like a high pitched buzzing. it only does it while in certain rpm's. noticed that between 4500 and like 5500 it does it and then at 7k to 8k it does it again. and it doesnt make the noise when the clutch is pulled in. if im at 10k rmps and i just let off the throttle as it goes down it makes the noice at those rpm's i specified before like right on cue. anyone have any ideas. i dont know a whole lot about mechanics but i guess i was thinking maybe the cam chain ??

i was thinking that last night. like maybe the cross bar was like vibrating off the headers or something but the cage seems real tight. i watched the guys from 905 put it on and they tightened all the bolts down real good. im not sure.

+1 on the cage rattling... mine does it too..... its not becuase its hitting anything, it jsut happens from the vibration

see if you lost the tank rubbers (1 on each side) that keep the tank from siting on the frame... I was getting mad vibs from the tank siting directly on the frame....

cam chain tensioner will sound like a rattle not a vibration, but if in doubt. put a manual cct on it. $50 and about 1 hour.

im thinking more and more that it is the cage vibrating. cuz it didnt start till i put that on. im just real paranoid about something going wrong with my engine cuz i dont have an extended pick up in it.
