this shit is tooo expensive...the engine kit i want is $2,770....the swing arm is another g, the elka shocks i want are about 1500 (front and rear), the a arms are 775, the fuckin rims and tires are like 600-ish......the list goes on and on....
who else is buildin a quad??????

Z? What is da Z? I don't know anything about quads, but always thought it'd be fun and cool to fab my own shit to make a monster quad thta stood 6 ft tall with a litre engine.

Yeah I deff couldn't afford that stuff. Replacing stock parts on a quad is pretty reasonable but when you start going aftermarket it's nuts. The worst part is it's hard to get back a 10th of what you even have into it when it comes time to sell it.

yeah pretty high. but he's talking bout dumping 7 G's or more in a Z. it would be badass, but i'd rather buy a used 4 wd truck and play with it. but hell thats me. it's just that when i was young i wasted alot of $ on shit like that. it sounded good at the time then a year or 2 later it's just sitting there. wasted

That's exactly why I thought it'd be cool to build a big jacked up fucker out of junkyard parts. That way you'd always use it when it rains, or when it's muddy, or just when you want to climb over something b/c you're bored. The beast could last ten years too.

Yeah, I can't see that either, My dad is a chassis man, and has a pipe bender. I can build swing arms and chassis parts for next to nothing. then it's just about finding an old bike like a gs1100 or something and fitting the motor. That sir, would be cool. :hyper:

Lol, yeah I'm going to. Been talking about it for 4 years now. College is killing me financially though. I'm gonna throw some plastic and a cage on the F4i and start the monster quad yo!

i know right.......but when im done i'll be able to outrun hondas in the straights......lmfao. i can get the parts from the local cycle shop for cost plus 10 percent.....if i ask my brother to get it for me......i think that'll take some of the bite of but this shit still aint cheap.......

the funny thing is is im gonna buy like a $1000 s10 to haul it with.....i gotta agree with you though, my priorities are a bit out of order...but later on i'll just trade that shit in on a gixxer or a 636......or hell who knows i just may keep it......

there nice and all.....but if i wanted fuel injection i'd just buy a bike..plus what they want for one of those is fuckin crazy.....they can kiss my fat white ass, when im done with my z i'll suck that r450's ass...at least i better for all the money i put in it
