So he tells me he has a clean title cbr900rr set up for stunt all it needs is a clip-on and upper triple to rock. When I get there the bike runs real good. The extra parts are cool, but the stator was not put in right and any wheelie would leak mad oil out of that spot. Thats not my major concern because I still would have bought it.

So he pulls out a title with 3 different bills of sale from the last 3 owners, and all 3 had signed the title in the wrong spots under dealer assignment and what not and he told me all I needed to do was show this pile of paperwork to the DMV and they would issue me a title. Bullsh!t cuz they won't. Do yourself a favor and don't buy anything from this guy unless he assures you he has the clean title in HIS name or UNSIGNED. I paid $150 to rent a truck for two days, and $150-175 in gas and tolls getting from Michigan to Upstate New York and back. Depressing.

Guess that's one of the million problems with dealing over the internet.

I don't think he would intentionally try to decieve your or rip you off...probably just didn't understand that it could/would be a problem at the DMV. Not saying it wouldn't have been a good idea to bring it up in advance.

Again, sorry to hear about your problems, I would surely be PO'ed if I had gone that far out of my way only to come back empty handed.

Title is clear now in my name.....So i guess you should have taken it like i said and you could be riding soon but you chose to go back empty handed so OH WELL in ny its totally legal to do the sale as we were gonna but WE didnt think about that i guess......Anyways oh well the bike title is cleared up and waiting for the new 1 to come back in the mail.....Thanx for talking shit robby and PHEAR for being an adult about shit

As for the 3 different bills of sale there was the title,1 bill of sale from when i bought it,2 B.O.S (1 copy for me and 1 for you) for when and if you bought it.... :asshole:

Yeah its easy for you to say that. You didn't waste all the time and gas, and as a seller a good idea would have been to put the title in your name instead of a 5 minute story about the 3 people's hands and signatures that had been on the title without registering it. I don't see how he was immature. It was a waste of time for him, in no way did he disrespect you or say anything that wasn't true to make him immature.

Him driving to you and seeing a bunch of signed paperwork in the wrong spots and whatnot turned him away and it was a waste of his time.

I know if I was driving that far to look at a bike, I woulda asked and wanted pictures of the title and whatnot so I knew what I was getting into.

well this dude told us the same story. $1000 for the 900rr ... bla bla bla about the title. he said it was coming back from the DMV and it was perfectly clear ... bla bla. I said I would send someone up there from our shop to pick it up as soon as he gpt the title. He said just come get it now and give me $500 and then when I get the title I will send it to you and you send us another $500 .....................? I said, nah I'll just send someone up there with $1000 when you got the clean title in hand ............................... never got a response.

Yeah, I didn't think I was way off here when I wrote that. All I tried to do was let people know to make sure the title was in his name signed by him to eliminate a hassle. Just a lesson passed on tryin to help somebody else out. If he did sell the bike already more power to him and congrats.

Im so glad that after i stick with the deal after the sketchy title bullshit, where most ppl would drop the deal right there, then Im even willing to do the half payment for bike the other have for title deal...he just sells it on me and straight ignores me. I just bought the 900rr from Steve. He has been extremely cool answering all of my questions and concerns in detail. The situation with the title was explained clearly to me (which is no big deal to anyone who has a clue). For the amount of money spent on this bike, you can't bitch about minor shit wrong with this bike. The paperwork is going through the dmv now, and the title should be back to me in about 6-8 weeks, just in time for the warm weather to break out here in Syracuse. Thanks again Steve! :thumbsup

im just bored and posting. anyways i have talked to nyj400ex whatever dude on aim and stuff when he was tryin to sell his shit, just sounds like a kid (dont know how old u r and i say kid as in under 21) tryin to sell his shit and not knowing a TON about it, seems like a legit guy just not quite into the whole buying/selling thing as much as some of us, so cut him some slack and make sure you know EXACTLY what ur gettin when u do shit online, ive bought and sold many many bikes, cars, trucks, quads etc on line and always make sure i know every detail. just my 2cents.

I called you a homo because I was being nice...you should have had the shit straight before you went to pick it up....and you shouldnt have been such a cry baby and start this thread...shit happens when you buy used stuff..esp state-to-state and with private sellers... so somehting happened here and he would have made it right...you didnt give him a chance...instead acted like a 3 year old starting this lame thread...that is making you look more like the asshole now..

I traded that bike..that i bought from a DEALER!...for a 400ex....
I contacted him about the bike...he responded immediately then came and picked the bike up the following weekend and dropped the quad off...

I dont think I have been apart of a smoother transaction...in fact when i bought the bike...they misplaced the title and they had to mail it to me...you need to settle down and give people the benefit of the doubt...
