A plow is about $2800 installed and my driveway is about 200' long. I'm just sick of snowblowing and I'm running out of room to put the snow. I'll get some pictures tomorrow, but the snow is 3-4' tall on the sides of my driveway and it's only the beginning of January.

I think it is more or less over. This is the first really cold week this year and I learned 15w-40 oil sucks below 30 degrees. It is a lot cheaper than my f150 was. It costs more than a car to operate, but it is cheaper than a 1/2 ton gas truck. I got 20 MPG traveling back to buffalo.

Didn't get your message until this morning.
Get your altenator tested, and check for corrosion on your terminals/ wires. If you made it all the way home I am betting it isn't your alternator. Maybe have auto zone run a diagnositc scan and see if any codes come up.

Maybe the voltage regulator is fucked up and the light is on because the bateries are being over charged. Again check the alternator. Don't know if our trucks have the VR integrated into the alternator or not, look into it and get that tested too if it is external.

Here's the symptoms so if it happens to you you will know what is up. Engine cranks fine, but doesn't catch, or

engine spins fine, catches for a split second, then dies out. Had to plug it in for about 20 minutes for it to fire up.

They are, there are just a few things you need to know that I am learning. Like next year change the oil to 5w-40 in the fall of just run that shit all year long so you aren't out in the driveway under the truck when it is 25 out. LOL

On the 7.3 the alternator is right up top. 2 bolts that are unobstructed hold it on. There is one wiring connector. Only tricky part is the whole belt tensioner thing. Takes about 25 seconds to remove it and abotu 1 minute to put it back on.

It isn't too bad as long as you disconnect it first and hook it up last.

Yup 1/2" female. It help to have a roomate help you out for a minute to hold the tensioner and line up the belt corectly.
