Okay people, I am a little bewildered. Since I fell trying to get the coasters down, I have been in mad thought. Now I got mad questions for you guys.

1. When I was up on one I felt the lightness. Was that bp? I mean I was coasting no gas either.

2. Once I felt that feeling I lost my sense of braking. LOL. And the bike slowly but surely came right on back. Is this the feathering area where I should of been braking doing coasters?

3 Am I totally off key here with my thinking?

4. The peeps out started out saying I was looking good but later said I was too high again. Personally I think I am right on it just got to master it now. Am I on point with this assumption?

5. I did idle up further this time to 3500. I normally practice at 3000 but when I was up at this point I never could get the bike to take over. At 3500 it did and because that was new to me I just felt good and then fell. LOL Should I stay at 3500? The bike came back very slowly but then again everything seemed very slow at that point till after the bike stopped flipping.

6. Did you guys get the same experience at first?

7. Is there anything I am missing or not doing?

Ok, first of all a coaster is when you get behind the bp, pull in the clutch, and ride out the wheelie using the brake just behind the bp. Sounds like you are trying to do wheelies on your idle instead. I'm no expert but here are my answers:

1. It very well may have been the bp.
2. You should be on the brake when you are behind the bp. When the tail is hitting the ground you should definatly be hitting the brake by then.
3. Who knows.
4. Never seen the pics.
5. 3500 is fine. I run about 4k
6. Ive looped too.
7. You are missing rear brake control. Practice makes perfect. If you dont mind crashing your bike again learn it on your bike otherwise find a 50 or quad.

Thanks man this helps alot. I think you are right. I was wheelying at that speed. I knew nothing about pulling in the clutch. So tell me this when you say pull it in. Are you pulling the clutch all the way and just coasting and letting back off the clutch when the bike gets too slow? I think I may have missed a point or 2 with how to do coasters. I never used my clutch after I popped it to get the bike up. Can you explain in detail how to do a coaster? I get the idea of using the clutch a little as you are coasting but I don't know if this is true or not.

are you trying to do coasters or just rock idle? if youre doing coasters you bring it up behind balance point pull the clutch in and just coast at the speed you were going only using slight braking to keep your from looping... you need some good brake control to do coasters. if youre just trying to rock idle your bring it up to bp and then just use slight braking to stay right at bp. this is when youre giving it no gas but the bike is still being moved by the engine where coasters the bike is just coasting on the rear tire when the clutch is in
