so i did my first work on a stunt bike today, started puttin shit on my f4. got my mxd cage on, new tail piece, and a 12 bar.

my question is, after drilling into my subframe and mounting the 12 bar and having it all set up, it turns out the right side is just a little bit lined up farther back than the left side, so its just a tiny bit crooked. should i be honestly worried? i know coming down on the 12 bar crooked is bad, but i mean i dont know if a few mm rearward offset is going to make that big of a difference when the bike is stood up and scrapin. i just dont wanna die the first time i scrape u know?!?

well the first time you scrape you are most likely gonna fall anyway... you probably definitly gonna fall... so it wont matter anyway... but i would fix it if you plan on riding out the car or parking it.. some guys are just so good that it dont really matter... but in your case i would fix it..

Get a buddy to help you stand the bike up on even concrete and see what it does. If its off to where the bike falls i'd def. fix it.

every time you put a hole in a piece of metal it weakens that pieces structural integrity...fyi.

measure twice, cut once.

I was just about to say that. Man this kinda mistake is unforgivable, i know about it. Did you have instructions to follow? Anyway what's done is done, you're here to get help.
From my own experience fixing that is almost not possible unless the difference is at least of 2" and you've got a strong subframe which is your case. The new holes need to be kinda far from the old holes. If you don't have good instructions let me know, i can find you a link.
One more thing, if you're learning how to scrape chances are you will break your subframe faster because of the fix. So i recommend you sell the current subframe on ebay and buy you another one with no holes and start over.

If its a scrape bar with a removable contact plate, just slip a washer in between the backing plate and the contact plate on wich ever side is off...then tighten the hell out of it.

Problem solved.

mine was alittle off and i just did a few long ass scrapes and it grinded away nicely, if its a few mm off its not a big problem, but if its a few cm's off well then i would look at fixin it
