any of you guys go behind the bike shops and get the worn out tires they throw out? they dont do anything with them anyways right, hope they dont get mad. Been doing it for a while now, I just got one last week that had pretty good tread life left, almost new!

same here...i hate rockin out new tires becuase you have to break in the new tire properly and wear them in for a little bit too.....only take offs for me
sweet...yeah out here they had a pile last night, they were all 180's and 190's like 15 of them, I only took 2 bc thats all I needed...good stuff

ahh, guess I'll have to make a trip down there tommorow night, to get the rest of the tires. Yeah thats all I'm getting rear tires....

hell, Ive got a couple friends at various shops around here...they hold them inside for me, and I come by every week or so...

ya most shops will give them to you if you ask they have to pay to get rid of them. some try to make some $ on them. then u gotta stock up at nite on em

some shop owners are dicks though and wont let you back there

I know a couple of shop owners that do that, but they say its so they don't get sued if something happens to some1 that has stolen a tire, I dunno just what I was told.

i get tires with like 100 miles on em for free all the time from local shops. i got a brand new dunlop qualifier with a few hundred miles on it for free, had a nail in the tread pattern so i plug patched that bitch then set it n forget it. i mount my tires myself also. i spent exactly 0$ in tires in the past 2 years. some how i allways get good front tires for free. every one thinks im crazy for plugging a rear tire but i never had a plug fail on me and i have had plenty of flat tires from nails n other shit.

this has got to be my favorite pastime..LOL..i havent baught a brand new tire in well over a year....usually get take off that have a nail in them or are past half worn...ppl get nervous and get new tires put on...so its like xmas to me...
i kno in jersey shops arent really allowed to sell them to you cause its a liability issue cause ussually theres summin wrong wit it to bein the trash....but ill take all the free tires i can get :woot

ive had tirees with liek 3+ plugs in them and filled with fix a flat...i used to run any fronts they had to but now that i got a damper and wanna do stoppies im buyin michelin pilot powers....and yes they do coem in spuirts...sumtimes the guy walks out with 5 tires 3 of em with nails in em after 100miles, and other times hes got 1 with white cords showing...lol
