dented my 636 tank and it leaks crazy gas...it is at the edges as to where the circle area with the key goes ....Did anyone else have any problems? and if so, what did you do to fix it? Can i put something around the edge so it wont fuck up?

RTV around the outside of the base but I neva heard of leak'n out the cap it self, just the base.. Go Vortex!

Haha, I tried my first spreader yesterday and didn't brace myself b4 I clutched it. It was funny b/c the bike put my ass right back in the seat from on top of the tank, lol. I almost lost the bike.

i see you dont run gauges or atleast it doesnt look like you do...do you ever have any problems of the bike running out of gas on you with no warning? i was doing a 2nd gear seat stander sat. and the bike just shut off mid-way and i could get to the clutch in time :banghead:

My boy did a good job on his 600rr tank, came out perfect.... beat the tank in how ya want and put the cover on and use a heat gun to form the cover! easy as pie....

yeah i got guages on it,
yeah some times but i always keep a gas can wit me all the time just in case,
make sure your tip over switch is diabled because when practicen and drop your bike shit gets loosend so always check out your bike before u ride!

turtle, use silicone around the outside, or you can go to home depot and get a sink stopper, its flat and white usually, cut the gas hole out and the holes for the screws and tighten it down on that work for my friend

SEAL ALL from autozone or walmart! shit is gas proof and its clear so it wont look like crap. just run a bead around the gas cap base. :gpimp
