zx10...
first the bike has been basecoated in house of kolor orion silver. while it's drying, i layout the size for the graphics in adobe illustrator, which i use to cut vinyl masks.

so after we figure out, the customer wants some kind of skull, and the backbone, or whatever. so the image has to be drawn out in illustrator, and sent to the cutter.
well weeding vinyl sucks, so here it is weeded out with transfer tape ready to be applied.

and place it over your basecoat to spray.

the design is laid out as to provide reference. the masking is removed after the background graphics are applied.

taking a business card, i hold the card to the tip of the airbrush to create kind of a stipling effect, which gives the background a stoney look. i then will go in later and airbrush cracks and shading, etc...
chain links were laid out as well under the design. when painting something like this, you would place the part of the design you want up front, down first, and lay any additional graphics over.

after all the tedious shading is done, the pieces are off for clear. which i refuse to do now cause i'm such a rockstar i HIRED someone to do my prep and finish work, so i can concentrate on this shit.
and to the booth...
