alright guys I bought a 900RR and the asshat forgot to tell me he snapped off one of the bolts that holds down the gas tank right up at the neck of the frame.
So i said no problem when I saw it...tapped a hole and tried using an extractor...fuckin snapped off the extractors tip right inside the bolt...I've tried drilling it out with a drill....nothing...HOW DO I GET THIS SUKKA OUT! everythings barelly making a scratch on that forged tip stuck in there.
If I can drill this out I can still use a thread saver, but I guess if I have to Ill retap the bitch too...but how can I get this thing drilled out???

I have been using Titanium bits...almost nothing...center punch wont even make a scratch in that hardened steel.
Yea I need this fuckin piece of shit out.

yea thats why you gotta use good quality taps cuz there is no drilling out hardened shit,
hey try this, take a welder..... and place a nut overtop the flushly broken bolt... weld the center of the nut to the remnants of the bolt and turn it out... it comes out surprisingly easy when the bolt heads broken off-theres no tension.
dont use a nut thats got galvanization on it, it'll fuck up the bond. if you wanna make the bond stronger, run a drill through the nut to scrape off any rustproof coating on the inside.
