I hear on some setups the stage 2 causes surge that goes away when the stage 1 kit was put back on. I think i'm going to stick with what I got, add a compressor housing and get a hotter tune once I get some gauges on.

tall narrow tires with a tread pattern for mud do really well in snow. sand/AT tires do pretty good

I ran mud terrains and they are good in the snow.....when they have decent tread on them.

I think your an idiot for considering winter tires considering what you have on there now. The truck weighs 3.5 tons, it will be fine on 12.5" wide tires. It's not a jacked up nissan mini. Now winter rims make sense to keep your chrome ones nice and fresh.

I can also see having winter tires and rims just to keep from having to get the tires swaped out 2 times a year, but not because your all terrains are "bad in the snow". Especially considering there is snow on the main roads about 10 days out of the year.

I had some conti mud tracs on my s-10 blazer. They loved deep snow, but towards the end of their life they didn't like small amounts of snow. They weren't the best in small amounts of snow ever. Truck was so light and the tires were so big the bitch practically floated acrosss deep snow.

oh and on the tires I'd have to say AT are the best bang for your buck......for the amount of actual snow we deal with per year.......but if you want to keep the chrome nice, you might as well get snow tired for the extra rims.....and the asians have some decent tires out for decent $$......fuck brand name companies.......

Blizzacks are sweet for cars that would look dumb with knobby tires. They suck compared to all terrains/ mud terrains. Go with mikes suggestion and get some boggers or some thornbirds.....

They are expensive, but they have a E load rating, 8 ply sidewalls, and a 50,000 mile warantty. That's what I plan on getting. I have 1 new tire mount on my spare rim and I'm getting another one for $125 shipped off diesel stop. I still have to buy 2 tires though.
