I was talking to the guy at comp usa and he was showing me a bunch of stuff. Basically, this is FAR fatser than ANY laptop available UNLESS its an APPLE right? Tha is what he told me.
He said the desktop macs are 8X faster than the fastest PC computer. Is this true?
Well, here is the link...

You mad eme laugh about where he works. Why does that have to be an issue? haha
The first one or second one. B/c apple has the dual processor thing and they rarely hang up.
What's the difference between the last two and the first two though in all realityy. It seems that hard drive space, and the processor are the only real differences....
Its either that or this... the hp is better huh?
DimensionTM 9150 ENHANCED as the advanced isn't any different...

Dude I wouldn't get a dell. I have a bunch of friends that work at dell and none of them have dells themselves cause they have to many problems. I would go with the HP before a dell but if you want to edit video and shit get a mac.

Those arent bad computers, but you could find them cheaper through a 3rd party retailer. Im not sure how fast laptops are this week, but the newest ones are probably very close to those desktops in performance, just alot more $$.
I believe the current Apple computers are now using Intel chips, which pretty much means they ARE pc's. Apple guys like to make it seem like Apples are the greatest computers ever, they're good but theyre really nothing special. Salesmen also like to make it seem like Apples are the greatest too, commission bases salsemen anyway.
Im not an Apple guy, but I think you should get one. It will be harder for you to screw up than a pc.

Macs are more common with Graphic Designers and such. It all depends on what you want to use it for to be able to narrow down what you actually need instead of just what you want. List what you want to do with the thing specifically. Oh yea...and Dell is not really Dell anymore...It licensed its name out years ago. If you want video editing...Sony has a kick ass media station desktop but it cost.

no video editing at all. Just want something without all the hiccups this thing is doing. Freezing up every now and then and have to restart it. So basically, its going donw hill and about to crash. So I need to back everything up before this happens.
But, yea, I can go back to that shop and finance the one HP which is cool b/c if I get it before the 5th, I don't pay any interest for 18mo.
But if I get it though the HP website I have no payemtns for 6mo....
Whcih is better? I wil lmost likely pay it off in Sept so I will probably go for that one.
But going back, you guys don't like the dells? I mean, the one I have is 4yrs old, been reformatted once or twice in the same week and has NEVER crashed.
The ones they have available have alot better and newer parts....
Look at the specs of this dell... versus the specs of the hp... The dell isn't far off right? beisdes a little hard drive space and extra 1gb memory.
hp ( keep in mind, there is NO monitor. And mine sucks. too big)

I work for a school district and all our machines are dells, including our servers. We have 20 carts that hold 24 laptops each and the only problem we've had with these laptops are the kids mishandling them. We have one cart that's 5yrs old and still going strong. We just got some new iMacs with the intel core duo processor. Those fu(kers are sweeeeet! We installed bootcamp (http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/) on some of them and bam! the best of both world. XP runs super fast on one of these. Maybe an option for you. My point is, from my experience, Dells are good systems. Shi7, I can build you an Intel 2.4Ghz/1GB RAM/80GB harddrive, ASUS P4PE mobo,DVD/CD-RW, Ati Radeon 9200 128DDR video with WinXP Pro, Office 2003, plus some other shi7 for $575 shipped

ok, look at this.
This is probably what I will get. For the over all price, it has the best parts on it for gaming. I might buy some games but not going to be overly involved with it. I just want it to be there when I need it. And the gaming stuff usually has nice parts on it as well.
Check it out.
Damn I LIKE this site. That one deal expired but I found a new one.
Only $550, holy shit....

This is the one i WAS going to get before I saw this deal. But its the XPS 400.... Nice machine I think... does it have that 64 whatever instead of the 32 since everything is switching over to 32 soon?
