Ok this is coming up within 3 weeks. We want this to be a HUGE event. Who from the DMI is coming?
Ok. it seems a little wierd for an old lady to be here, but I was told to come here to find some of the guys and gals that rode with my son Jason Cooper who passed away July 14, 2005 shortly after returning home from Iraq. So here I am. First, I want to thank all of you that rode with my son and gave him great happiness in his short time here on earth. Next, I am planning a memorial for Jas July 15th in Chariton, IA (where Jason was buried). There will be members of the Des Moines car scene here for a car show and I also have permission to shutdown the airport runway to allow you guys to perform your stunts. It would mean alot to me and Jason's family if you could be here for just a day of fun and no hassles from the cops to do your thing. Send me an email if you are interested or if you would like to help out. I also have a website for Jason, please stop by and lite a candle for my fallen soldier.

Jason had an STI that he spent his whole Iraq paycheck on mods. He was just beginning to race it when he passed. So members of his car crew will be down also see www.dragsouce.com
The runway at the airport will be open to us to use for the day. Stunting and racing.
Also, as a reminder will be gathering in memory of Mark Dyer and Ashley Delude. They were both planning to be here and were friends of Jason's.
I will let all of you know that I have a 5 acre farm, everyone is welcome to camp out here to save on hotel expenses. I am really happy to know Jason's memory lives on in all of you.
This is going to be mind-blowin to my small hometown. They won't know what hit em...........LOL

Chariton is 50 miles south of Des Moines on Hwy 34.
Weenie roast......... if ya all are wanting to camp out. Jason would be proud of you all campin out in the middle of nowhere. When he was in boot camp in Fort Knox Kentucky, they brought them in at night so they wouldn't know there way out to escape. Dropped 'em off in the middle of a freaking forest and said see ya.

Ok Guys, I talked to the airport people and they are going to let us have the long runway about 4000 feet. He has a credit card fuel pump there but I think it is airplane fuel????????? The gas station is about 2 miles away.
He was worried about damage to lights on the runway. I told him we would be good. :goofy:
I need a round about number of participants. Hy-Vee will be donating food and water. I also have a bar in town that will let us set up DJ equipment and party afterwards. Any volunteers?
For those of you traveling you can stay at my place.
Thanks again to all of you. RIP Jason, Mark & Ashley!

Airplane fuel = racing fuel. Sorry I don't know those things. But the nozzle won't fit into a regular tank so will need to bring a gas can if you want to use the pump.
That's awesome about the DJ!
