smokes real bad on start up. if you hold a peice of paper behind the can and rev it, when you let off, it sucks the paper back to the end of the can.... i know its not supposed to do that..

mabe got a bent valve, stickin open, when the piston comes down, it creates a vaccum in the exhaust?, sounds logical to me

hmm if it is smoking heavy only on startup when cold It is probaly valve seals.
I think you should only have air dumping out of exhaust not sucking it in.
Do a cyliner leakdown test with the right gauge. Each cylinder should be at top dead center and the valves should be closed while doing this.
I just did this test to my 636 wich was smoking like crazy and found out that my valves were not seating correctly and leaking air past the seats. so i need a valve jobe. Also I had air in two cylinders leaking past piston rings into crank case. I could feel the air pressure coming out of my crankcase breather hose.
This is what you get for running advanced autoparts cheapskate oil and killing the revlimeter all the time.
def do the test let us know what the verdict it.
I got my motor all torn down and should have it all done by the time my wrist is healed and this fucking cast is off. peace
