View Full Version : in the market for new cage. need opinions
first off i have a f4i.
not really impressed with my FI cage so i'm looking into something new.
i want input from people that have either Sick Innovations or Scrapeworks cages. I've been looking into both and I like the fact that the Scrapeworks mounts the slider through the vent in the lowers and the only spot you have to cut is the very bottom for the crossover bar. I like that but not digging the price tag.
I like the SI cage because it's small and easy on the eyes. but how tough is it.
woo if you read this, when you looped that sitdown coaster how did the cage hold up? and for that matter the engine mount that it bolts to.
thanks in advance for inputs on this.

I would go with Sick Innovations. I personally liked the FI cage on my f4i cuz it looked nice and wasnt noticeable. But, I started turning into HC circles last weekend and after one drop I started getting scared that I was gonna break the cage. I just got the Sick Innovations cage and this thing looks strong and beefy. The welds look really good and it wont let your bike rollover as easy as the FI.
i highsided a ss circle and bent the fuckin slider on mine..gay wasn't even a hard drop.

SI cage fo sho
mine rolled like 9 times and nothing was wrong with it
I"m kinda leaning toward SI because i can get the cage and roundbar for the price of just the scrapworks cage. hmmmm

I only tried them for like 10 minutes and got halfway around. I broke my clutch and didnt feel like breaking anything else yet. I could get them in a day if I tried. I just need to learn how to slip the clutch in the chair.

I had a 905 and that shit took a beating. I prolly dropped it 3-4 times learning circles. Once i wrecked and it did 2 complete flips and broke my rearset but thats all that happend. i guess put a dent in my tank. I guess i was just lucky.

You wont be dissapointed. I flipped a rev coaster sunday. Bike flipped on its side 3-4 times and nose over tail 2 times. Not only is the cage perfect, but i didnt break a rearset, lever, clip-on, pass. peg. Hell it barely even rashed my fairings. All i need to change is my throttle cables. FYI
Whats up with the SI cage for the 636??...That thing looks outta control...The one for the f4i looks dope...But that 636 looks odd to me...
