i think ive decided to finally step it up and get some db bars...i really like the way they feel
gonna get the fatbar mini bends..or carmicheal bend..cant decide
but i was reading around..and ive seen that if you drill the triple it may break...now is there any truth to this?
i dont wanna buy a billet clamp...ive been searching for the clamp that mounts just like a clip on..but i havent had any luck
thanx in advance

drill it and use big washers or have them welded, i am pretty sure you will need new longer throttle cables, go to www.motionpro.com if you need them

ive had 3 drilled triples that didnt break (f2, f3, 900)

On those, ive had renthal twinwalls that bent i crashed so hard, triple didnt brake, stress crack, or anythign.

2 times i crashed so hard it ripped the bolts (5/16 and 3/8) out of the risers, and I had to redrill them bigger. again, no damage to the triple.

So imo, you have nothign to worry about. You can reroute the stock throttle cables and they'll work ok. 1 inch longer cables would work better, but stocks will get teh job done. You definitly need longer brake lines, no way around that. And the stock clutch cable will fit, but will get too tight when you turn thebars all the way left, so get a longer one unless ur broke.

if its gonna work you can only get tag risers, the biggest rise they make , and thats even gonna be close. you may have to put thick washers on top of the clamp and under the riser to space it up more

you can get risers to clear it, but its gonna feel like youre riding around on a chopper with apehangers. High bars pretty much suck for everything except stoppies. I would sell the scotts and buy 2 rod dampers. :2cents

Ya that is kind of a bitch...I dont know if the tallest risers will work. If not, get in contact with Bill at Fullthrottleinc.net and he has something that will definetley work!

Do you know if it will work on a different bike with another mount??? I thought the only difference was the mount, but i could be wrong???

scotts doesnt work on an f3 unless you modify the f4i bracket..which all you do is add some spacers on the bottom with super long bolts
it will bolt right up to an f4i and 600rr i believe
