Summary
2003 ZX6R (636).
No title - wrecked with very low miles. Wrecked certificate was submitted to DMV - bike never made the appointment and has been stunted out since then. Bike is legit - title not recoverable.

Has a headlight, directionals, trailer light taillight since I rode it on the street anyways.

Damn- I'd be real interested in a trade if this had a title-- it definately is what I'm looking for. You're so close too. I really need to be able to get some plates on it. Hmmm... I'm still thinking about it do you think that frame and title that Nags has for sale would work? It's just such a pisser- it's just what I need except for the whole title thing-- You got me thinking, though... :dong:

I was looking for a frame to title it with - if you can do that - that shouldn't be issue esp in VT. The dude who had this bike previously submitted the wrecked certificate to dmv for an inspection adn then missed the date. Here in NY you need to have receipts for every part you put on it and it needs to be restored to OEM conditon. I'd then need to get the original owner to go with me to DMV (who I don't know). Too much of a pain in the ass - bike is a stunt bike and will not pass the NYS inspection.

here in KY you can rebuild it to factory (or passable condition) and just have to show receipts for the "rebuild" and you can get a "CUSTOM" title... really isnt that much trouble (we have been going through this for a friends bike that was bought w/ a JUNK title, and got it all figured out now... NO THANKS TO ANYONE OFF THE STUNT SITES!)

NY is strict. Most people here just cross over to VT to get the titles fixed it. Never saw the worth in that. Too much of a hassle.
