so this weekend i 12ed my bike for a very long time and now for some reason i have really bad rod knock...someone told me there was oil in my airbox...im not sure where to go from here...anybody??

your motor is fittin to blow up...oil in your airbox wont make it knock..u should have an oil pickup on your shit if your gonna rock for blocks

Who makes em for 636? I haven't heard of them needing oil pickups.

WELL ITS EITHER A ROD KNOCKING..(NOT GOOD) TAKE IT IN AND GET IT FIXED..
OR MAYBE THE CCT CAM CHAIN TENSIONER NEEDS TO BE TIGHTENED OR REPLACED(EASUER FIX THAN THE ROD)
YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER IT COULD BE ONE OF MANY THINGS..WE CANT HEAR THE BIKE SO ITS HARD TO GIVE A REASON

too much oil in the box...sucked in..blown rod.

could be a ton of shit, oil could have gotten it close to vapor lock, could be the CCT or the motor could be on its way out. Let it sit for a little start it up. If a ton of smoke comes out the exhaust then you got oil in your air box, but thats not gonna make it knock. CCT will be more of a chatter, could be valve knock. Bring it to someone experiend by you

No I was askin if they do
There is a small pipe goes from the engine to air filter,,, that pip suck the oil from the engine to the air box.....
what i did with my 636,,,I installed a longer pipe and turn around the air box so the oil will not jump into the air box.....

ya...it only smoked for like a minute...i shut it off and let it cool down a bit...when i started it back up there was no more smoke but the knocking was still there...

ahahah rod knock u fuckin squid... and you can't wheelie, so you mean you looped it, or put it up at 12 and tried to ride it on the pipe... either way you're still retarded and your bike is ruined haha

all my buddies have 636's and none of them have had any problems, just mine...and it was only because i got oil in my airbox...if it wasnt that my motor would still be good...i heard gixxer motors are crap..along with there frames....but thats just what i heard :shrugg

they are... hell i have ran my 636 all day long and been 1qt short on oil (didnt realize it til i rode it ALL DAMN DAY) but it was fine! been a gixxer, or honda it would have blown! my f4i blew easy! face it though... anything you ride is gona have problems.. ppl i know who stunt f4i's have replaced wayyy more motors in their bikes than ppl i know running 636's or Fixxers even :shrugg could be the rider, could be POS bikes, could be alot of things but all bikes are gona have problems :twocents:
