only you can make that decision for yourself. you don't need any of our guidance with what you should do as a adult.

yo...ill tell you this..you throw your freedom away for awhile...if you like being told when to shit..piss..when you can eat..if you like being yelled at..getting your ass kicked and all that...YES !!!!
I was gonna go when i was 18 I had fucked up in college, came home, a friend tried getting me to join..... Dont watch the vids tho, they get u all pumped up, and ive heard its kinda not worth it but it is, if u plan on retiring in the military. anyway, good thing i failed my piss test b4 anything, cuz now im chillin and doing my own thing. But mad props out there to those in it, takes a lot of heart... So its a question u gotta ask urself. How bad do u really wanna go, talk to a few marines first, get the reality of it thru words, don't listen to recruiters, ok I'll stop with the bio now

You say you blew your knee out a few times already. If you do join the Marines, don't go ground side because of your knees. You will be a broke dick all the time due to you having fucked up knees.

if i do go into the marines im going to try to be a scout sniper. i shoot guns all the time im 90%-98% acurate in shooting so i think i would be a good scout sniper but i have to get my knee fixed first

No way. You should just go Delta force or just go in an be a 5 star General or something like that.

I was in A Scout/Sniper team in the Army.. not something you just get into by joining.. Takes work once your in. I had to do a Scout Assesment and Tests basically a "Tryout" with over 100 people trying to get in.

go, i did, had some of the worste experiences in my life there, but also had the best. It's all in what you make of it, you go in there expecting everything handed to you, you will, all the shit work, but if you go in and work your ass off, you can go as far as you want. I wouldn't trade anything in the world for the experiences i had and the life lessons i've learned. Plus you can't say you're and Army, or you're a Navy, or an Air Force, but you will be able to say you are a Marine...lol,,, sorry had to throw that in there...
Most people say they would of, should of, thought of, and wanted to, but it's the one's that actually do it that stand out. Mad props to all those who have, no matter what branch....

i went in right after highschool and its really up and down. Its so fucking shitty sometimes but so freeking awsome other times. I've learned SO much in 2 years between basic, ait, iraq. I've been to so many places, done so many badass places, been shot at and i'm getting training for a badass job.
It sucks a lot other times but in the end it was definitely worth the experience. Plus you'll never have the woulda, shoulda, coulda syndrome. Its just a few years and ur done and you've experienced it.
I got a badass set up in my room, my truck is already payed off and no debt, in fact i'm up quite a chunk, oif vet, and i'm just a teenager. I can use Gi bill, gi loans for buying a house ect. You learn a lot about people, life, survival, ect.
You will work your ass off it definitely doesn't all come free though!

I loved it. It definitely had its ups and downs though, but at the end of the day I dont reget having joined. Meet some of the coolest people and definitely had some crazy times. But like was said earlier dont be a grunt if you already have knee problems. Im not saying you cant but if you go and are hurt all the time sniper platoon will never let you make it through indoc.

i'm glad i did it. was in for 6 years. it had its very high ups and very low downs. it certainly toughened me up, and whenever i get a lil whiney about something small now, my friends say shit like, "You were a Marine, so how's about you STFU and deal with it." Then i shut my trap and take whatever issue i'm having by the gah-damn horns and run with it.
as far as u being a scout sniper, it takes way more than just shooting accurately. sniper school has a very high failure/drop out rate and its because it's physically rigorous, not shooting.

i dunnnnno man...
they got black and spanish people in there. your drill sgt might even be black. don't want them like, discriminating on you cause you're white... lol

i wasn't marine but i was navy and i had a blast in it.....got to go to a shit load of places......ups and downs of course but every job has that at one point or another.....you'll get out of it what you put into it......worse comes to worse then you have a guaranteed paycheck for your first enlistment plus nice lil sign on bonus.....and if you don't like it after your first enlistment then jus don't re-enlist and you can say that you've been there done that and it jus wasn't for you

true, everyone that ive talked to when they find out i was in the marines always has a story about " how they were gonna join." thoose 4 years were the best 4 years and the worst 4 years of my life. do wat u want not wat we or the recruter wants

dont be a bullet catcher!! go army!!! lol but no, i know the marines is very picky about physical issues so idk if they'll let u in with that knee problem.....but shit its worth a try, if it doesnt work out there head down the hall to the next branch and see if they'll let u in (that is assuming ur recruiters office is set up like the ones ive seen with every branch in the same build just diff offices lol)
