i anualy change all my fluids , fork seals , cables , chain air filter and plugs . once a month or so change the oil . and every week check the motor mount / cage bolts , sub frame bolts etc etc .
im interested to see what you guys do and when .

....wow, you check your bike very often but thatīs better than less. The things you listed is pretty much everything you need to do (and what I do), you can also check your electric connections from time to time and the valve play(?) once a year but thatīs it.
....oh and when needed take you steering damper off to check your steering bearing. :twocents:

I do pretty much all the same on a weekly basis. I also bleed the brakes about every 2 weeks.

I'm pretty anal about my brakes. Not a full bleed.. But a few good pumps to ensure I got no air brewing.

I also lube the clutch cable every 2 weeks or so...

i change the oil when needed, lube my chain every other ride, lube cables and throttle with wd 40 once a month, change brake fluid once it turns a little brown, look over my bike each time i ride mainly subframe for cracks ,and to make sure bolts arent loose. i check the air filter every 6 months to make sure its clean, and everytime i take a tire off i grease the axles

i've used wd40 for many things in the past, but on bikes it just doesnt always seem to do the job. i once used it to lube my chain, and that just ended up making it wear faster, if you use it on cables it will dissapate or dry up, and it wears out bearings in wheels and steering stems pretty good, i prefer a silicone spray lubricant for those types of things, other than that about once a week i check over all my bolts and make sure everythings in good shape and change the oil, ya know, the usual stuff

Same as Gary.
Change my oil when i crack a cover, add some coolant after i damage my radiator. Never lube anything. If my subframe starts squeaking, i tighten it.

Oh, actually, i got a good one that qualifies. When I hear about a parts bike for sale locally with very low miles, I buy it and swap the motor into mine. So my bike has 25k on it, but the motor has under 3.

Hell no, never again. ONLY WD40. Fuck anything else.

+1 on the silicone spray lubricant. switched out my clutch cable cause it was cracking by the lever. I check that more often now. don't want that bitch going especially doing coasters. I also spot some bolts with paint to check if they're coming loose. and before I ride I check the rearsets and clipons also. silly shit like that gives me piece of mind. I've had clipons snap on me and it wasn't pretty. I don't lube the chain as much as I should though.

i was thinking of this idea, ya know when you're working on shit and you're like hmm, is that a 10 or a 12?, so you get some automotive touch up paint and color code your bolts. you paint blue, red, yellow, whatever ya want on the head of the bolt

yo jr the clutch lever and perch we have has that split in the adjuster bolt, if that split isnt facing up or forward it will fray the cable, i dont know if you read about that or not yet but it makes sense

lube cables and throttle with wd 40 once a month

I heard lubing the cables with oil or grease will destroy the teflon innerliner, .......since you do it monthly it should work .....but please tell if Iīm wrong.

Hell no, never again. ONLY WD40. Fuck anything else.

i used to think wd40 was the greatest thing ever, but even though the can says it lubricates, its not truly a lubricant. and it seems to chew through an aluminum sprocket like a dog on a fresh set of timbs.
