2007 Moto GP pictures

the past week and a half myself, TonyL and jbeavers went to shanghai, china for the moto gp round. Timmy 30 came along as well, he was our photographer for the weekend. Needless to say we had a blast, we had dinner with Alex Barros, Alex Hoffman, Makota Tomata, Mauricio (owner of Berrik, arlen ness and madif). We had a lot of behind the scenes views into moto gp which was pretty cool, talked to john hopkins, he's an american and got his first podium finish on sunday in moto gp. i lived in china last summer and my roomate was racing moto gp 250 for the china wild card team, we went down to his pits on friday and took some photo's with him, said his bike was fast but he didn't like the color blue, saturday durring qualifying he colided with another bike and hit the tire barrier head on at about 80-100 mph, he flew litterally 200 feet and fractured two lower vertebrate in his back and broke his femer. He will be unable to walk for around a year but thank god he's not crippled for life, it was very unfortunate as he was looking to get a full time 250 ride in moto gp next year.


the pictures pretty much tell the trip, we didn't get very much sleep, almost every night our taxi cab drivers got us lost until early morning hours. Jbeavers managed talk some rickshaw driver into letting him ride it, 3 blocks later he snapped the chain so who knows how that guy is going to put food on his table now LOL. we did shows fri. sat and sunday, after the gp race on sunday as soon as the champaign was uncorked we went out on the starting grid and laid a little heat down.

all in all, it was a trip of a lifetime, i hope you enjoy the pics!! We would all like to thank BG-Performance for everything they did for us.

and yeah, they squat.... although they are kinda getting some technology in the toilet department, most new places install actual toilets, but the funny thing about that is, in the circuit the mechanics still stand on the seat and squat.
it took me the longest time last summer to try to figure out why the fuck there were always foot prints on top of the toilet seat, then i walked by the bathroom one day and he had the door wide open and he was poppin a squat right there....fuckin weird stuff goes on over there.
