So ive never had the chance to hop on one. Whats the deal? Ive wanted one since before the craze started, and after seeing them race and play around at louden last weekend, they just look like a blast. So whats the deal? Are they are much fun as they look?:fiddy:

are you serious?? ive never done them on a real stunt bike, but i had no trouble doin them in dirt on my 450 w/dirt tires

Buddy has one loves it. He keeps trying to get me to ride it but im worried il like it and buy one haha. Thing does wheelies with little effort.

its really not that hard.. i kinda cheat with left leg on the groun then pop it up and pull my leg up then a few good circles on dirt tires

so the wr450 really catches my eye...cuz i want to be able to street it, as well as beat on it.
What u guys think about the DRZ-SM....appealing because its ready to go, but also a fairly outdated motor...

I was at an Aprilia dealership this past weekend and was looking at them. The things are fkin SICK ! and the 450s were starting at 7900 which is cheap as fk. I thought they would be like upwards of 10.
im considering going back there and seeing how much the 550 runs. if its too much...the 450 will work just fine.

WR is good because it has taller gears and is more road friendly.
the DRZ is good but like you said a 400cc motor? doesnt sound too exciting...unless you slap in a 450 in its place. i wonder why they havent updated it?

DRZ motor is a turd.....Ityhrew a -2 sprocket on mine and it is like a big 50. It is fun around town up to about 60 MPH, then it is just a dog.

id go with an aprilia...come off of the showroom with everything to be street legal and you get your plate there too. plus all wave rotors and a throwed undertail exhaust.

Also fuel injected and a twin.
Reasons why I didn't get the aprillia:
LOTS of maintenence.
Price tag.

Has any one failed to add a few things?
To convert a 4stroke dirt bike over to motard is expensive as hell.
Rims will cost $1000 alone with the rotors.
So why not buy the KTM, it comes motarded out and built for racing. It already has the rims, upgraded

Yea, some of those do. I know the APrilia and the DRZ. But everyone I have spoken to that messed with the DRZ said that they tore it up in little of no time at all. It just can't take the abuse and that if you want it to you still have to upgrade everything from the rooter to the tooter. It'll cost you thousands to make it stunt worthy. Don't qoute me as I am not sure ut this is what I heard....
