Have a fairly decent dent, but its deffinately not cracked cause it didnt leak when I dented it and rode for awhile. Went out yesterday and filled the tank up with gas. next thing I know my ass is on :flamethr: and im jeans are covered in gas. Pretty sure its leaking out of the gas cap, anyway to stop this? I was told to put sealant around the ring of the gas cap. Im thinking on f4is there is 2 holes under the ring of the cap that allow fuel to go back into the tank if it gets outside of the gas tank. Can i plug them up with sealant?
those holes dont go back into the tank, but out of the hose that runs next to your shifter, onto the ground....you dont wanna plug that hole up.

surpisingly not, considering thats the new cool in with f4is in jerzey is something on them catching on fire

my silver tanked leaked gas, so i always smelt like it, i think chicks dig it haha,

check to see if there are any cracks around one of the 3 bolt holes that the gas cap threads into....

everything is good. My only guess was the gas cap was sitting a little crooked and it wasnt getting a good seal. Well my trusty rubber mallet made it even, i guess well see how it holds up

stock cap. went out tonight and Im pretty sure Im good.. well see what happens onces I fill the tank again

my tank was leaking out the bottom for about 2 weeks till I fixed it and the whole time I was waiting for it to catch fire...

im 75% u got cracks. I just had this deal with my f4i. It seems like its commin out from the cap, but it cracked under the paint *couldnt see it till sanded* right on the edge of where the ring sits in. Almost on that 50/50 joint. I just sanded the shit out of mine, jb welded it, and better then new.
any one got pics of a good f4i dent though? i think i went too deep and not wide enough. cuz my legs are catchin the sides and im still slipping. My ass isnt really cupped by the tank tell my legs are fully extended in a spreader. Maybe my ass is too wide for an f4i tank hahaha. Let me know tho.

DONT USE QUIRK STEEL , THEY SUCKS ...JB WELDS IS THE BEST.
