2 chains=1?

i have 2 530 chains, stock, one of a 1000rr and one of a 954rr. both have about 5,000 miles on them. can i use 2 master links and not worry about it snapping.

the reason i ask is because im getting a larger sprocket and dont want to buy a new chain.
