charging ?

i bought a new stator and it came with all yellow wires .. i thought this was odd but o well it had a plug so i plugged it in and went on. A few rides later my bike dies.. WTF. So i look into it and find that the wires from the stator to the plug was melted in one big glob. Making it very hard to distinguish what wires went where , and the fact that they were already yellow..anyways.. i re wired by cutting out the bad part and running it with some new wire up to the plug. now it fried my rectifire so i am thinking that i have one of the three wires crossed somehow..so If someone could give me some input on where the three wires go into the plug a diagram ?? or a personel drawing?? lol. but seriously i need help

are you saying that the wires dont matter where they plug into even though there are three different ones ??

mine didnt even have a plug, just 3 yellow wires. i just cut the plug out and soldered the 3 yellow wires to the other wires. maybe i just got lucky?????
