Your bike has no title. I gave you a fair offer.

Your bike has no title. I gave you a fair offer.

My apologies, I took that as sarcasm.

You may feel that is a fair price to purchase this bike, I disagree.

I purchase and sell bikes, salvaged, new, and no title - this bike is worth more. In any event I appreciate the offer but decline.

I can PM you the VIN later tonight when I get home if you like. When I purchased the frame I ran the VIN thru Carfax and it came back not stolen, so I purchased it.

If you're serious let me know. Just know that I am not selling this thing for $1200.

carfax doesnt work for bikes

which is why it said it wasn't stolen.

where did you buy the frame from. does it come with a notorized bill of sale from them??

kerrycorcoran
08-09-2007, 11:31 AM
You are incorrect.

Carfax works fine for bikes. I ran the frame thru Carfax less than a year ago - not stolen. COD.

I purchased the frame off ebay.

kerrycorcoran

Yes, it cames with a Bill of Sale.

Yes, it came with the COD and Bill of Sale.

Yes, it came with the COD and Bill of Sale.

OK so it does have some sort of a title then. you need to phrase that differently. tell them it comes with a COD not a no title bike.

I mean you are still asking too much for a bike that can't be registered, but at least it's not stolen.

You may have had a bogus VIN. All I know is the VIN(s) I ran thru came back and reported not stolen.

I did review the CarFax site and it does state it does not handle motorcyles the same way it handles cars.

I sit corrected, partially. :ese:

It's not a title...it's a COD.

If this was a rashed out POS I would lower the prices, however this bike is easily worth $3300. Perhaps I am just selling to the wrong market.

i know it's not a title, but it's some sort of legitimate paper work for the bike so the popo knows it's not stolen. that's my point. and i bought an R-title F4i for 2K. that's the kind of deals we look for. try craigslist or ebay. you will NEVER sell it on here for that price. :ese:

Sounds like you got a good deal, depending on the condition of the bike.

No harm attmepting to sell here. :clint:

It is probably worth $3300 to someone, just not a stunter. I bet you could find some sucker on arace forum with money to burn. Stunters are broke asses and pay bottom dollar for bikes.

+1 ... stating it is at least COD makes a little difference.

Correct that statement ... may of us have money - we just wont pay the rediculously over priced amount that most people think their bikes are worth.

its actually worth what he is asking, so long as a racer is doing the buying... most of the race bikes you come across are cod's... you should get 3k or better for it...my sincere advice to you is to take it to a trackday...its too bad its sittin on a stock exhaust and internals...

but none the less it is worth it so long as it has numbers on the frame and they match the ones on the bill of sale...:thumbsup

Damn, all this controversy...too funny.

For the record, I stunt, I have money too...I don't waste my money, but I know the value of bikes. I am originally from SoCal and only live in Nebraska. People in Nebraska are no less intelligent than those from other states.

Good forum, brings out all the funny shit!

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure:
VIN = JS1GR7JA742105398

This comes with a Bill of Sale from D2 Cycles - A buniess located in KC. You can find there stuff at www.d2cycles.com - I confused this frame with another I had purchased of Ebay.

Hope this helps anyone who was worried about dealing with stolen goods. C'mon guys, not all stunters steal shit! There are honest people out here.

Thanks for all the bumps though!
Kerry

When I checked them both out they were both COD.

This frame I only have the Bill of Sale from the business, as mentioned prior.

Thanks,
