yea im here guys. Ive been drifting my car (or trying) but for X-Mas im goin to be gettin an HPI Sprint and thats when the real fun begins. I havent really been posting too much anywhere. Ive been pretty busy with school and all that other stuff.
That car is sweet. I hope my car comes out half as good as that.

Where do you buy these?
Can you get a decent one under $500 or $1000

ummm for 500 to 1000 dollars you could get the best on the market bro.
Go to your local hobby shop or Tower hobbies (www.towerhobbies.com) You can find almost anything you would need on there. But if you are just getting into this I would recommend and rtr (ready to run) it comes with everything you need to get started.
that does look pretty damn tight! lol i'll just stick to my need for speed underground 2 for now lol

If you were really into them you prolly wouldnt even notice how much you put into them. You gotta think about everything that goes into them like..........
New Motors
Rims
Tires
Bodies
A-Arms
Servos
Radio
Receiver
batteries
charger
the list goes on and on. Those are just a few basic things that are most often replaced or needed right from the start

i think the cars are a little more affordable because you arnt trying (well, hopefully you arnt) to jump them 30ft into the air
wheeliekid
12-08-2004, 08:52 PM
You dont need a 30ft jump to break shit. haha Ive proved that theory lots of times. But never on my own car hahahaha. I havent broken anything plastic on my car yet and its been through some shit.
kinda off topic- Me and my friend made a mudd pit in his backyard once. We took my toys r us truck through it. It was pretty friggin sweet. We had like submerged rocks and sticks in it and all that good stuff. It was maybe 5 inches deep( almost as tall as the tires on the truck). It made it through all of it. I even tryed putting my good car through it but it didnt go to well. lol. I went like top speed and it just got stuck cuz it weighs like nothing

Didnt need to. It was one of my friends old pos motors, and old pos ESCs so it didnt really matter. My servo and receiver were wrapped in plastic wrap and didnt get wet

putting 1000 dollers in an rc is fucking pointless. damn, but some rc are pretty cool, for 10 min, but i would throw them in the garage and never use it :nono:
