100rr and 600rr lock question

Wanted to know if the lock and ignition sets are the same. I broke my key off and the lock smith wants more then i can get a 1000rr set for.

please let me know if any of you have tried switching

go to the dealer with proof of ownership, they should have a key code to order a key from, problem is getting the broken one out...
