i personally think they are gay!Unless someone is using it to do things you cant without one....but for liek highchair scrapes, slow highchair, spreaders, seat standers...u can do it without a handbrake so do it like that first in my opinion....

I think anyone that has a handbrake should prove they can use their engine brake first.... I've seen people who normally have a handbrake and when they cant use it they are garbadge. Master your game all around then use the handbrake...

This is how I feel about handbrake:

A) I busted my ass learning shit on my own, I have proven my skill. I deserve one.

im gonna be gettin it in the future and guess what?...i havent mastered engine braking...do i care?...NO...do i care if anyone cares that i have a handbrake..FUK NO....if yall think its cheesy more power to ya but i garuntee when this shit goes into x-games etc...there isnt gonna be a rule against it and ur gonna have to learn to love or get left behind....cause ya just cant do some tricks withoutem...and the ones u can do....example...highchair scrapes slow highchairs etc....look ALOT SMOOTHER with....then without therefore probably the person using one will be scored higher....ahh its just my opinion and it doesnt really matter...but to all the ppl thinkin about gettin one or who have one dont feel bad cause ppl dont like it do ur own thing and dont mind what anyone else says.......

Learning engine brake is good but the argument that handbrakes don't belong is no different than saying huge sprockets don't belong. Using a huge sprocket is helping so why not have use of the brake. It's just like saying if you use your brake doing 12's then you suck.Why not utilize a good idea. Not to mention how much smoother it makes the tricks. Look at darius' shit compared to someone with no handbrake

So how does one learn pimp shit if they never install it and try it out :confused: . Just like everything else in life....don't knock it until you try it. I have never had one or tried one, but I ain't gonna sit here and pretend it's gay until I give it a few test spins myself.

this is a good topic and let me tell people that bash them they are hard a fuck to use so like jimmy said dont bash it untill u try it and dont say yeah i rode so and so's bike and i dint like it u cant ride a bike with a handbrake for a day and think u are going to master it trust me is doesnt work i tried it when i rode my teammates bike. i put one on my bike i still cant do idle speed spreaders or highchairs with it becasue it is hard as hell for me to loosen my finger off the clutch and move it down but im working on it also like others mentioned to keep up in the game how many more tricks are u going to be able to do with out a handbrake look at mark from MPZ no one is hanging with him right now Highchair circles that is sick. and if u say ill never have one i think its bullshit i said the same thing but they are fun and i see a handbrake as helping me with tricks i do now and also help me learn new ones but what do i know.

Thats what Ive heard from most peeps. Switching from clutch to brake is difficult. Trying to hold on, switching levers, without gaining TOO much speed so you dont exellerate to much and loose the idle zone. Hey.. but I guess you would have to have engine brake skills to SLOW it down in the first place to get back into the idle zone. Hand brake isnt gonne make any jackass god on 2 wheels.

Good post EMROCK. Handbrakes are not as easy as people think they are. You pretty much have to have engine braking and the standard skillset on lock before you can bust out anything other than idle seatstanders with a handbrake. A handbrake gives you less than half the power the footbrake has. Everyone around here that hasnt tried one thinks you can just hop on and start doing idle spreaders the first try. Holding your bodyweight with 2 fingers doing balanced idle spreaders with your two strongest fingers on the handbrake is hard as shit. You are practically hanging on upside down holding on with your pinky.

Here's my thought, I eat, breath & sleep stuntin and if I could figure out how to rig a handbrake up I would. I dont care what people think, I don't ride for other people. I post pics and vids for people to enjoy. If you like what I ride and how I ride then cool if not then Fuck you! I'm not trying to make a livin off this shit. I just love to stunt. I've been doing it for 2 years and I think about it all day and night, shit if I cared what other people thought, I probaly would not even be ridin much less stuntin. 99% of my friends think I'm annoying becouse all I talk about is stuntin.
