What is the best way to housebreak a dog? My puppy is 6 weeks old and I take him outside and he plays around and then as soon as he gets in the house he pee's. It drives me crazy. So any suggestions? :o

Crate training helps alot.... but he should piss on your leg :p
Its going to take a minute for him to pick up on going outside only...

yeah crate training is the best thing. not too big though....he wont pee in it because he wont want to lay in it...... :eek:
and dont play with him outside untill he goes "potty" pick a name and use it so he learns, like potty....peepee....potty-pooty or whatever :D they catch on!!!
or go buy the magizine called Dog Fancy, it always has good tips! and i need them with my 4 dogs :p
btw what kind of puppy.......i love puppies... :p

yeah Brandie they seem to always do that :mad: but I use the crate thing with my dog..it worked well...my dog used to drink alot of water and just minutes later he would piss :eek: so a little bit after he ate and drank I took him out and use command words like "go pee" or something,they will get it sooner or later,but It was like running a marathon as many times as I took my dog out before he got it fingered out ;) good luck

Nah i'm just playin'. Do you have other dogs? That always helped with my potty training. I have a lab, pitbull, and this little shi'tzu. Hard to get the little one to go outside. Just make sure when he pees in the house you let him know it was wrong. Rub his nose in it and tell him "outside". That way he can relate pissin' on the carpet to going where he's supposed to....
Anyone know how to get this little bastard to quit eating my shoes. He's not attracted to the cheap ones just the expensive shit. Air force 1s, 2 pairs of steve maddens, really any sandle with a stelletto heal..I'm ready to kill him. He has a fettish for new packs of cigarettes too. Not the packs that are almost empty, but the brand new full packs...and toilet paper. He tore up a whole 9 pack. My whole downstairs was covered with it and there he was hiding under it. :D :D :D

and here is a pic of the puppy...he is not going to get much bigger. He will probably weigh about 3 or 4 pounds full grown.
We have two yorkies (terriers)..
