Gangs in the military? WTF? On the history channel now (thu 9:30pm)

Dude, I never even heard of this. Is this really this big of a problem?

They have cases to where whites have joined up and were apart of skin head groups that went in to black neighborhoods for the sole purpose of killing couples. They also have black gangs, mexican gangs ( ms-13, latin kings, etc), asian gangs, etc.

im in the military and i dont know of any gangs. a few ppl who might think theyre gangstas but for the most part its just young guys wanting to do something more than what ppl usually do. the military standards are still high. they have been granting waivers for certain things to up the enlistments but anyone who is known to be apart of a gang will not be allowed in. if you have any tattoos that are obviously gang related you will be shown the door. but that doesnt mean you dont get in some ppl who do it for all the wrong reasons who dont have any obvious reasons to refuse them an enlistment. the world isnt perfect but i can tell you there is no gang PROBLEM in the military regardless of what any media source might hype it up to be.

That's absurd! I was in the Navy for 10 years and never seen, heard, or encountered any gangs LOL.

There was always the normal segregation at lunch time on the messdecks though.

army and i just read the stats on gang activity from the dod and less than 1% of all criminal investigations invovled gang activity so i wouldnt say that its a problem at all.

Ive never heard of gang problem in the military and I got a good share of friends serving...you do also realize being in a gang isnt always "omfgz Im ganster Ima pop a cap in ur ass" its just your fam... you grow up with them, you chill with them, you talk to them, help them out when ya can, etc etc etc...LK taggin a wall? not the right choice but its really no different than carving "John Doe was here" on a tree or wall.

LK has a huge membership and not all are the stereotypical gangster...many get treated that way but are what cops like to call "inactive members" which means theyre a member but do not participate in illegal activities.

Some of those kids look like busters too...like to claim sets but cant back it up and get jumped when they run into the real deal.

and yes Big Boy in the yellow shirt does look retarded...but never assume just cuz someones of a round build that they cant fuck shit up...Im sure a lot of ppl who dont kno Tank think hes a slow fatass...untill he knocks their ass out.
