defintily in first gear for slow stuff, thats where you get the most engine breaking which is also key. when your learning to go slow its best in my opionion to put your left foot on the rear peg, your bikes gonna want to wobble a lot and it will be calmer with your foot there for learning, then later do seat 12 bar w/e

I went from a 30ft high speed wheelie to scraping the 12 at 5mph in about 4 hours. It's all about not being afraid of trashing your bike, and not being afraid of falling. You've just got to tell yourself that you're not going home till you do it at least three times.

put your index finger on the clutch, left foot on the passenger's peg, right foot on brake(applying slight pressure) while barely rolling 1mph. Feather the clutch with your index finger(just pull it in til it's almost hitting your knuckles) while rolling about 1mph and release the clutch while twisting the throttle(you need to whack that bad boy and stay on it). Catch the front with the rear brake and work the throttle/brake to keep it up thur. I started by rolling in 1st gear around 5-8mph(a little fast than usual because I was a pussy and had to relearn everything after I dumped it due to bad whobble) :( Once I was comfortable at that speed bringing it up smooth and keeping it up thur I started rolling slower(almost at a stop). Here's a vid of me working on my slow shi7. Notice I'm still 'choppy' on the gas :) shi7 is pissing me off...but I go out as much as I can and I'm getting it...I think  Notice also how it shoots right up and I catch it with the brake? Anyway, hope this helps. Oh yeah, things to consider: low your tire pressure(I'm at 12psi), tighten slack in chain, tighten throttle play, tighten cluch play and get a cage if you don't already have one, l8r

i say learn on stock (even tho thread starter is already geared 10 up) but when u make the change from stock to geared itll make it even easier. that and so u can hop on a stock bike and rock it like a G :bouncy: :bouncy:

Start off by pushing that Caps Lock button. Slow wheelies are a snap after that.

I heve the same problem with my 900RR it stalls out if I ride the 12 for more than 5 seconds or so. it's all in the carbs. You just have to hit the 12 grab the clutch throttle it up let it idle and repeat. if not you're going to stall out.
